“High style dim sum on the HK harbour”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

Maxim's was recommended to us by a number of people. We only had one day in HK and wanted a nice dim sum experience in central HK. This is a beautifully appointed room, and both the food and service were very good. The roasted meats were especially good.

“Large variety and good view but expensive”
Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

This place is big- can probably sit about 400-600 pax and it offers a great view of the ocean if you are sitting near the windows. Be prepared to wait if you are coming here for lunch and also to share tables which is common in hong kong. Prices can be expensive though

“Authentic HK dim sum experience ”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Maxim's is great for dim sum and offers a good selection of the typical dim flavours. Whilst not as tasty as din tai Fung or Tim ho wan, the real draw of Maxim's is that they serve dim sum on trollies just as they used to in the olden days!

“Efficient and tasty”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

As with most dim sum places, don't expect excellent table service. You're expected to call out to the trolley ladies when they pass, and get your dim sum quickly before they lose their patience. This also means that service is extremely efficient, and we never had to wait long for dim sum to appear on our table. A good place for brunch, because that's when you can enjoy the sunlight that streams in from the massive windows that overlook the water, waking up and fueling for the rest of your day in HK.

“Best Dim Sum I've Had in Hong Kong”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

Wanted to experience something traditional, and was referred here by friends. The food is great, and is served in a very traditional way (carts being pushed around with different dishes available to choose from). The atmosphere is crowded and a bit rushed but adds to the excitement of Chinese Dim Sum Lunch. Highly Suggest the BBQ Pork Buns.
