“Still an old reliable”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Not sure I would recommend Saturdays but as others mentioned they turn the huge room quickly! We waited about 45 min. To be seated but once we sat down in the beautiful room the food carts starting arriving. Delicious food, especially the steamed pork buns! We ate plentifully, enjoyed Chinese tea and paid the gratuity for about $40 total for two people.

“Great Dim Sum---really fast service!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Located in City Hall---& not to be confused with Maxim's Cafe on the second floor. (Maxim's Palace is on the 3rd floor) Don't let the wait or numbering process deter you----they turn tables REALLY quickly! The roving carts have the items labled in English, making it really easy to make your selections. You can order off the menu as well as picking from the carts

“Excellent dim sum”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Every time I go, the food is excellent and the variety is unimaginable. This is a must go to in Hong Kong, the kids especially loved the Steamed Sponge Cake and the Barbecued Pork Buns. Definitely go!

“The perfect dim sum experience”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

If you want a lively family atmosphere, beautiful harbour views, a wealth of dim sum, and ridiculously low prices (particularly by Hong Kong standards), do not miss this place! We had a bit of difficulty finding it, as it is somewhat improbably located on the second floor of the concert hall. On a Sunday at 1.30 pm, the rather elegant and very light room was bursting at the seams, but we were lucky enough to get immediately a table under a chandelier. The choice of dim sum could indeed have been a bit wider, but they were good, and the cheerful ambience was well worth the visit.

“part of things to do in HK”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

It is a good introduction to HK food in the old traditional style where food is taken round the room on carts. Every time I go there, I leave with more food items still to try. The place reeks of opulence from the thick drapes to the impressive Chandeliers.
