This week had lunch at the recently opened Caffe Habitu in the Festival Walk shopping mall in Kowloon Tong. Overall, we were were ok with the food and enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant.
We ordered two meals, the chicken quesadillas (HK$78) that tasted quite average and seemed overpriced for the three, thin and small quesadilla slices that came with the meal (rating 2 of 5). We also ordered the Classic Lasagna (HK$88) that tasted good by Hong Kong standards for Italian food but not outstanding. The serving size was very generous, making up for the slightly average taste of the meal (rating 3 of 5).
For dessert we had a couple of Lungo (Long or Americano) style coffees (HK$33 each) that tasted quite good and a mocha flavored cupcake (HK$20) that was too dry and not worth ordering again.
Overall, the food quality and taste was a mix for both our lunch and dessert, we liked some things, others we'd pass on next time and order something else. What we really did like was the atmosphere of the Caffe Habitu, the seats were nice and the decor made for an enjoyable meal. Once this restaurant settles in, we'll give them another try.
