“Infinite choices breakfast buffet”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

If you enjoy breakfast (and we do) the breakfast buffet has a mind-boggling variety of well prepared eastern and western dishes.

“A crowded dinner experience”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Excellent dinner buffet, lots of choices. But the place can get crowded a lot in the night showing how popular it is. Navigating through the crowd with full plates is indeed a challenge.

“Avoid”
Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

There are just way too many other brunches that hong kong has to offer and you should avoid this one. There is no free flow champagne option. They have served the exact same fare for at least 5 years. Very average tasting food.

“Not cheap but very opulent”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

We ate here on our last night in Hong Kong. You'd be hard-pressed to find a buffet with a more high-end selection of food: lobster, crab, sushi and sashimi, foie gras and prime rib were just some of the items on offer. Not everything was of equal quality. As some other reviewers have pointed out, some of the cooked items were TOO cooked. But for the most part the food was well above average and the service was excellent and friendly.

“This buffet will change your life”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Café Too is on the seventh floor of the Shangri-La Hotel. While it is possible to get a taxi there, the hotel is actually connected to Admiralty station via a mall so you can walk there straight from the MTR without needing to go outside (typical HK!) We were seated promptly by polite staff, and were immediately salivating at the sight of the food, which I will now summarise what I can remember as I assume that’s why you are reading this!
Seafood section: an eyecatching pile of fresh lobsters with all the trimmings (many families we saw had 3 on each person’s plate!), sashimi of salmon/scallop/octopus, mussels and crab.
Salad section: large number of prepared salads including chicken Caesar and Thai green papaya, selection of other salad ingredients to make your own, smoked salmon, gravadlax, cold meats of all kinds.
Noodle soup: broths, a selection of diced vegetables, soba, meat and jiaozi to construct your own noodle soup!
Meat: roast beef carved on request, Hong Kong barbecued meats (including pork, duck, and goose), selection of delicious Indian and Thai curries, tandoori meats, xiaolongbao and jiaozi, Chinese stir fries and lots of accompanying vegetables (both Asian and western style).
Desserts: selection of cakes, mousses, ice creams and crepes.
Highlights: seared scallop and goose liver with a red wine reduction served in a shell, fresh salmon sashimi with ginger and soy, melt-in-the-mouth lamb sheek kebab, crispy and light naan breads, and a hot chocolate and almond cake for dessert
I must have only scraped the surface here of the incredible range of food on offer. All of it was cooked absolutely perfectly and I cannot remember one dish that I was disappointed with. I definitely recommend booking in advance and cannot emphasise enough what a fun time we had. I don't understand any of the negative reviews particularly the ones slating the quality of the food - where do these people normally eat?!?! Absolutely outstanding in every respect.
