I find the sushi/sashimi here to be among the freshest in HK with a pretty good selection. Other dishes are just so-so, nothing to shout about. The prices though are just too high in my opinion.

It was fantastic! The service was great and there was a wide variety of sushi. Definitely go back there. yes it is on the pricey side, but every penny as the quality of the food is exceptional. will definitely go back there. it is a place where most japanese from hong kong hang out and it was recommended to me by a japanese friend!

I went there solo, desperately looking for a high quality grade fresh sashimi place in the causeaway bay area. I have tried so many in the area, leaving disappointed so often, even the near trendy and well known" wasabisabi" was getting a bit boring. The place has three small floors with a very good team of waiters. The very Fresh sashimi presented very well ( but expensive for what you get )It has a great selection of sake and a bonus of having a interesting yakitori menu ( mainly just poultry and vegetable sticks). My bill came to $HK1200 for one person!!!, two beers, small side plate of salad, sashimi and sushi plate for one, and a six single tiny yakotori sticks. If you want fresh and reliable sushi but dont mind the steep and excessive prices then this your place.

Hi!

We d just came back from the restaurant for a dinner.
We were quite disappointed. For 2 persons, around 955HKD
One menu of "tempura" and one menu of "sushi".
The "tempura" is not bad if people like deep-fried food
but the fish is not that fresh...
The value for money is bad.
Too expensive for "tempura"...

We've just finished dining at Sushi Hiro. The food was simple, fresh and nice. They specialise in sushi, sashimi and tempura. Unfortunately we found it disappointing overall and didn't provide good value for money at HK$1000 or roughly £95 for a meal for two (no alcohol). The sashimi was far too cold and therefore impaired the taste and texture. The tempura was disappointing - the batter was niether light or crispy. The nigiri sushi was very good, particularly the toro. The home made ice cream was also very nice - especially the azuki bean with strawberry flavour. The service was also good and attentative. But unfortunately I'm marking this restaurant with 3 instead of 4 stars as it's fairly expensive for what you get in return. There are lots of Japanese restaurants in HK offering very good meals at only a fraction of the price.
