Description: Spices is popular for its diversified and authentic Asian cuisine, tasteful Eastern design and wonderful garden setting punctuated by spacious green lawns and tropical blooms. The refurbished Spices boasts a new contemporary interior. Inspired use of natural materials, such as bamboo, teak, rattan, stone and coconut, in contrast with bold, vibrant colours gives the restaurant a distinct Asian identity. The lively and inviting space, evocative of a bustling Asian spice market, will undoubtedly enchant and inspire all the senses. Several landscape enhancements have also been made to The Garden - an outdoor section of Spices celebrated for being the finest venue for alfresco wining and dining in Hong Kong. The interior design improvements are complemented by an enriched menu of authentic Asian delights, prepared to perfection by the highly talented culinary team.

Great mix of Asian cuisines, good very well and served with a smile. We eat in and sometimes pick up for takeaway. Quality in both instances is consistently good. Heat and spice levels can be adjusted to your taste so we have happy family across kids and adults. Nice to have a choice between Malaysian, Thai and Indian. Highly recommended,

We' ve been there for the 2nd time. While the first time was quite good, I must admit that the 2nd time was unfortunately rather disappointing. Service was average, same for quality of food. Samosa where too dry, Naan bread stiff and dry as well, Malay curry far from being delicious. The Indian curry however was good. Still, overall you find many restaurant which offer much better food for even less money.

You are kind of spoilt for choice for food, even as a vegetarian, on the streets of central HK, but this was particularly good. Reasonably priced, very friendly service, excellent food.

Lovely environment with indoor and outdoor seating.
Food from all over Asia.
Must order pork mince with eggplant, mie goreng, Dahl, green papaya and mango salad.
Great for lunch or dinner and child friendly.

We arrived at Spices not really knowing what to expect! The taxi dropped us at the carpark and it took us a couple of minutes to find Spices which is on the right hand side of the little shopping mall and Verandah restaurant complex. Once there, we experienced friendly and efficient service. They were kind enough to make me an off-menu cocktail, which was delicious!
The food was fabulous. I would absolutely recommend the starter plate of salads – green mango salad, Thai beef salad, a spicy white fish salad and an Indian-style salsa with lentil fritters. All were perfectly balanced in flavour and extremely fresh, and probably enough for two people to share if you're not too hungry. My mum had Tom Yam Kung (hot sour soup with prawns) which was also faultless. For mains we had beef rendang and the Thai red duck curry with lychees. I definitely preferred the Thai curry but the beef in the rendang was melt-in-the-mouth to die for. Rice was served from a steamer and more was offered when I finished my first serving.
Only slight criticism was that the vegetable side dishes were a tad overpriced – we ordered the spinach with garlic and ginger and I really think that 98 HKD is just too much to pay for what is essentially wilted spinach. However the other dishes were great value and we could barely get to the bottom of the bowls of our meat dishes.
We were seated outside in the evening, the temperature was perfect and we were offered a fan and mosquito spray by the helpful staff who also called a taxi for us when we had finished. I’m sure many people would criticize the concept of an Asian fusion restaurant but authenticity definitely comes second here to perfectly-balanced flavours, fresh produce, and vibrant food. Easy five stars.
