was there in 2009 as recommended by my boss. Revisited last year when i was there and finds it as tasty as before. Not hard to find as many people will queue to get a seat. I love the idea of sharing seats with many people during peak hours at lunch. Loves the quick and witty service from the staff on top of the delicious food. MUST VISIT!

This place is easy to miss. Do take note that it is just before the supermarket if you're walking from Lyndhurst Terrace.

There is a pictorial menu (see picture) so no worries about not speaking Cantonese. I had the chicken chop noodles, which was nice, but the condensed milk buns was average at best. The milk tea which we had, was pretty blend and disappointing. As someone who drinks milk tea everyday, I was not impressed.

Food wise, we found it pretty average. Can probably come here for the feel of the place, but don't expect to be wowed by the food.

If you want traditional HK style milk tea made in a silk
stocking (without wallowing through a wet market) this is it.
It's authentic, good, cheap and fast.

Food is nothing special, and you can find similar quality in practically any cafe at Hong Kong. It is no wonder that its ranking at Tripadvisor is mediocre but surprise that it is scoring quite well in general food review sites. Nevertheless, I gave it a try and had the one of the worst experience at Hong Kong.

There were 2 waiters and 2 waitresses. The waitresses were better mannered but the other two male counterparts were nightmare. They have zero manners, and have total lack of respect to customers. They despise travellers, and any question were retorted with snides. It is as if the food there is free when the price is not cheap considering the place and the food quality. I asked a simple question of whether the meat in a noodle is pork or chicken (which in the menu literally translated as meat noodle) and was scolded. Another pair (daughter and mom) sharing the same table ordered a burger which they thought was pork burger and when the food came, they were scolded by the waiter with his fingers pointing hard to the menu. The same waiter (small sized and wearing spec) then went on to pick order from another table (couple from Taiwan) which was derogatorily joked by the waiter until the couple got angry and left half way while ordering. When the waiter was asked by his lady boss what happened, he brushed it off, shrugged and said that coouple was simply fooling around.

Even the better mannered waitress couldn't be bother to admit mistake when she got the wrong food to a Hong Kie and insisted that the customer ordered what was served on the table. I have a baby stroller which the waitress refuse entry and duly snatched and left it lying on the dirty roadside before she later tie it to a pole.

So please save the trouble and don't even consider trying unless you get itchy to be scolded. The service is extremely bad and they are in a hurry to get you off the table once you are done eating. This place has zero appreciation and respect for customers and had grown in arrogance after surviving with over 60 years of history.

I stayed in Soho and paid homage to this institution. The milk tea was good. Not too sweet and very flavorful. The buns were light and fluffy. I suggest going at least once for the experience.
