We were upgraded to a suite with an incredible view of the harbor. The Executive Lounge is open 7 days a week, and rewards guests also were able to enjoy a full breakfast in the MoMo Cafe with lots of choices of both American and Asian food. The free hotel shuttle has scheduled trips to the IFC where connections can be made to the subway or Star Ferry. The internet was free and worked just fine. Price was reasonable by Hong Kong standards. Could not ask for anymore!

My husband and I were happily surprised by the quality of the rooms, the prompt and friendly service, and the ample breakfast buffet at this hotel. We stayed here twice, on our way in and out of mainland China. Each time we had high floors with harbor views, and enjoyed the changing vistas at different times of day. The hotel's west-of-central location is about a $3 to $4 US taxi ride from central Hong Kong, but the hotel operates a regularly running shuttle that drops off and picks up at several key locations (MTR, ferry terminal, other central spots). We used both, but found it was necessary to show taxi drivers a hotel business card (provided at check in) with the address in Chinese.

When we arrived at the Hong Kong airport after 10pm, we asked at the Transport Information Desk for the best way to get there (we told the agent we wanted to get to the Water Street Tram Station, which is across from the hotel), and were advised to take the A10 bus, which was very inexpensive and dropped us about two blocks from the hotel. When we departed Hong Kong, we took a taxi to the airport, which cost about $42 US.

We were pleased with everything about this hotel; it exceeded all expections for a Courtyard. The Executive Lounge was spacious, and the small workout room was well equipped. Free internet worked very well at all times. Marriott's quality beds, bedding, bathrooms, and linens ensured that the time spent in our room was comfortable. My only wish was for a bath tub -- I didn't ask for one, but had a feeling that the compact rooms probably were not equipped with tubs.

Note: In the rooms, there are actually two sets of motorized shades on each window (contrary to an earlier review): one provides filtered light and the other provides total blackout, so there is no problem sleeping due to daylight.

If I could rate the hotel 4.5, I would. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hong Kong.

We had a great three night stay here when we were visiting family in Hong Kong. The rooms are very comfortable and well-designed- we particularly liked the stylish bathroom- and for Hong Kong were a decent size. We had a good view of the city from our room (ask for a high floor)- we wanted a harbour-facing room but were advised it would cost extra so didn't bother.

The hotel staff were helpful too in hailing taxis etc. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but there is a handy little cafe in the foyer where you can grab a coffee, muffin or yoghurt at a good price.

The hotel isn't in the most central location but we didn't find it a problem at all, as taxis are so cheap and easily available from the hotel- we could get into Central/ Soho in just over 5 minutes for about £3-£4. To stay in the same standard of hotel in Central would have cost us a lot more, so we definitely saved a lot of money even when using taxis.

Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor

Stayed at hotel for 4 nights. It had a great buffet but the rooms were rather small. Hotel had free wifi and breakfast buffet for elite members. No pool and the location makes it a bit tricky to get to. Make sure to grab a card in Chinese from hotel to give to Taxi driver or it will be hard to get to.

Room Tip: Ask for Harbor view

Very professional and helpful staff. The concierge was able to direct me to some nice restaurants. Hourly complimentary shuttle to/from the Hong Kong Station (to airport) as well as to Central provided. Hotel is located in Sheung Wan without access to MTR which is kind of a drag. However, it is easy to catch a taxi from the hotel. Very close to tram stop that can take you to Central, Causeway Bay or Wanchai at minimal cost, but at a leisurely pace.

I didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the quality, but the rooms are large (for Hong Kong), and very quiet. Perforated screen served as curtains, so the room was bright at daylight (bad for light sleepers).

Very small rooms, that are in reasonable condition. The free wi-fi worked for the full 9 days without any issues. The hotel breakfast option was expensive, so i skipped for a more reasonable option near the office. The hotel offers a couple of free minibus options that leave at periodic intervals to ferry, IFC, Airport Express etc. The service was nothing special. The gym, whilst small, was empty on every visit.

Room Tip: The higher you go the quieter it will be!

Stayed at the Courtyard marriot in Hong Kong and it was a wonderful location, very close to the Shun tuk ferry terminal, easy access to the tram to central, and all in all very well located. Slightly pricey at 215 Us $ a night without breakfast..but then I guess its HONG KONG...We had a swift and efficient check-in, the room was average but had a fantastic view of the harbour, which was wonderful and made you forget the slightly small size of the room. The rooms had free wi-fi and the view was the high point and in the evening you could see as far as the disney island fireworks. The hotel staff were helpful, a very crisp to the point no fuss well located hotel for work, slightly pricey for the facilities on offer.

Room Tip: harbour view room.
