Clean & Good sized room with comfortable bed and central location with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Only steps away from subway. If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel that's clean and comfortable this is it!

This hotel has all you need for an excellent room rate: central location, large rooms with comfortable bed, closet, safe box, alarm clock, tv, complimentary amenities in the bathroom, coffee and tea maker, security entrance/access. My room had a lovely view toward Victoria Peak. What else do you ask for?
You want smiley faces at the reception desk? You might not get them, but the staff is very, very efficient and correct. Smiling is not a part of their culture, as it is in the West. You want breakfast? You can get it all around : Megan's Kitchen or Yoshinoya or Turkish Kebab next door etc. You want a large lobby? Then go to Conrad or Marriott or Shangri-La and you will pay for the shinny lobby. It's not for free, you know!
The most important thing is how to get there? You can take the express train to Hong Kong Terminal, then you will switch it with the metro (MTR) to WanChai Station. Or, better, take the Airport bus (A11, 40HKD, approx.50' or E11, 21HKD, approx.80') to Stewart Rd. Stop (the name is a combination: Hennessy Stewart or, when you return to the Airport with A11, Gloucester Stewart) or you get down one stop before Stewart, where you are informed that you can reach the Congress and Exhibition Centre. It takes 4-5' to get to the hotel, in fact to the Lucky Centre building, where the JJ Hotel occupies four or five levels. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Great location near the tram stop. A lot of restaurants and great shops. I love the market feel. Convenient with a supermarket just at basement of hotel. Room is big and clean. Consider cheap for the size and comes daily with bottled water!

Well located (walking distance to Wanchai MTR or HK Exhibition Centre 7-10 min) the hotel (I'd rather say a guesthouse) occupies from 9th to 12th floor of a building. Reception is at 9th. Rooms are bigger that HK standards, and this is why i said fair price. Asked for a smoking room but when I arrived was given a non smoking one. All the smoking rooms were occupied they said, but I was not warned beforehand. Bathroom is inside the room but with glass walls, so not exactly intimate. Cleaning was sufficient, no more. Good wifi.
Refrigerator (empty) and safe. Basic bathroom amenities. Kettle, tea, coffee, free water bottles. No way to have breakfast, they do not provide it.
Impossible to open the windows, had to switch off the aircon at night. Friendly staff, Laundry service also ok

My flight was very late and instead of arriving at midnight I arrived past 1 am. The female receptionist was very nice. When I gave the keys back 2 days later another receptionist was just neutral (but not mean like I read in other reviews).

I might have been upgraded, my room was much bigger than expected (number 1101), over 20m2. The glass partition for the bathroom makes the whole thing seem bigger as well. They had warned me with an email that I was on a smoking floor but should not smell anything. I was quite worried about that because my nose is very sensitive but all was fine. They gave me coupons for Megan's kitchen (a restaurant in the same building - very good) and for drinks in a bar that I did not try.
There was a kettle with green tea & coffee - BYO favorite teas! Slippers, toiletries ... A good address with good price.

The bed was very hard (harder than the norm) but I slept very well both nights.

To improve: When asking for a non-smoking room, even on a smoking floor, ashtrays should be removed. I was not far from the elevator which is not what made the most noise, it was mostly unruly guests speaking too loud too early.
