actually i stayed at the Knutsford couple of years ago before they went for renovation and such but i just had the opportunity to write down now. well, i stayed there with large group of people. stayed for two nights. booked the double bed. yes the room was small, typical 3* in Hong Kong, everything is small..anyway, bed was so/so. not that comfy. bathroom was clean but again, small. the lighting was not so bright so it was sort of disturbing for me. for my room, it came with bath tub. hot water was fast, thank God, consider i came during winter. floor was a bit slippery and i could hear noises at night.

breakfast was hmm okay. not good enough though for my taste. i did not have chance to try other facilities like the pool and bar ( however i did peek a little and it was small). reception was slow. that's the bad thing. not enough chair for us to sit and again, well, 3* right? the porter who got our luggage was not polite. he demand the tip so badly while yelling in Cantonese which made some of my group member frightened.

overall, i don't think i will be staying at Knutsford consider the location (i know it is in Kowloon but located at a small alley?!? don't think so) and the staff services. however, small shops and restaurants are nearby if you are the type who likes local sightings. not sure bout the distance to MTR, i think it is quite far.

Been staying in this hotel with friends over 2 weeks, been to like 8 different rooms. We all stay in our own room, we had single rooms deluxe rooms etc.

Location is ok, good for TST. But we find MTR station too far, so been using taxi exclusively. The steep walk up to the hotel was ok at first, but after tired day of walking or partying it was like climbing a mountain.

There are a few rooms next to the lobby desk, you can hear them talk from within your room. People who stayed here probably understand what I am talking about. I refused those 2 rooms.

Single rooms were way too small, I can touch the toilet from the the bed. Good thing is you can watch tv on sitting on the toilet or even showering. But yes its very small.

I am 5ft11 I dont fit in the bed, so I had to curl up a little.

The double rooms are abit better tho.

Internet.. was crap. I have a very strong IT background, know everything about networking routers and stuff. Their setup is definately wrong, internet was unusable because it drops connection all the time. Not the wifi connection gets dropped that was full reception, but internet on their end. After first few complaints it still didnt get solved, mind u we had 5 laptops together on different floors so its really them. So if you need internet definately dont come here, there is no option to pay for anything better,

Friendly staff!

I stayed 1 night in a single room -the price was good. There was a reasonable amount of space in the room despite it being the single and the bathroom was good too. The hotel is quiet and well located. The bed was spacious and comfortable.

Room is clean and modern, location is good and safe. Cost - I was charged HKD $500 per night - good for this area of Kowloon. Recommand for Single - male or female or young couple, on a budget. Would recommend Evergreen Hotel first though.

....and it is correct - room is small, not suitable for over 6 footer - as described by others.

Was the Mingle, now the Acesite Knutsford, so some aspects of the old reviews may not apply. I've stayed here many times on business, both before and after the management change. Yes, the rooms are very small and there is a short steep hill to walk up if you arrive on foot. Neither of these bother me a bit - you may feel differently. The rooms are clean and modern. You can select tracks from their big CD collection to play in your room. Choice of WiFi or broadband in every room - it is a good quality connection at no extra charge. The new management seems to have cut costs - gone are the two helpful Indian gentlemen who would assist and get to know you - replaced by a couple of sleepy security guards who don't seem to know you are there. That was a loss. Otherwise, for the money, this is a good place to stay.

We secured this room last minute on wotif.com and although we were trying to be conservative with our pennies, for $130 HKD/ 1 night we were extremely disappointed and it was definitely not value for money. I cant say I'm highly savvy when it comes to technology but even I could tell that this claim to being Asia's most technically advanced hotel was an absolute JOKE!

Our supposedly free room wi-fi kept dropping out and when i called the reception desk i got a lame excuse that the rain had effected the signal - load of baloney! As for an ipod docking station it must be so highly advanced that it was invisible!

The room was small, bed was hard, i found myself wanting to spend most of my time in the bathroom--biggest space!

In terms of location once you turned a blind eye to the steep hill the hotel is situated on and the foul stench that seems to surround it, yes it was a winner---being within a stones throwaway of the MTR station and the renowned Nathan Road.

I think you get the drift--- unless you have no other choice go mingle somewhere else!

We booked the room last minute online and got a good price; in fact, it was the best price available in Kowloon or HK Island.

We had checked out the hotel on a previous visit to HK so were not surprised with what we got.

We booked a double room and this was adequate for our needs. The room was modern and the space although tight, has been well thought through to maximise every inch.

The room has free internet, movies, games and music which was great.

Bed was futon style so quite hard but suited our taste.

Room was surprisingly very quiet which was a relief as it's located next to an Irish Pub and transient residential area. Although we did stay early in the week, so who knows if it gets louder on Fri and Sat nights.

Great location just across from Knutsford Terrace (prime dining and night spot in Kowloon). Good massage and shopping options within easy walking distance. Nearest MRT stations Tsim Sha Shui and Jordan. About 10 mins walk to Star Ferry.

If you're looking for value in Kowloon, this hotel offers it. Having stayed the week before in the Quality Inn Golden Mile, we were far far happier with our stay here when all things were taken into consideration...

NOTE: there used to be a swimming pool but this has been closed. Also, the only restaurants in the building now are Japanese...the others have moved across the road to Knutsford Terrace..
