“Excellent Experience in Nina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2010

My husband and I went to Hong Kong for visiting our relatives. We didn't except Hong Kong hotel can be comfortable like Nina. We stayed in other hotel in Hong Kong before, which only about 130 sq ft. But Nina's standard room at least 230sq ft. It's very comfortable and staff friendly. We stayed at Nina for few days before we travel in Asia. We decided come back to stay in Nina after trip from Asia and upgrade our room to ocean view suite for only couple hundreds HKD. We love the service and envoriment there. By the way, the location is a little off from the train station. It's about 15 min walk. I think this is only negative I can think of.

I was never living so high, like in L`hotel Nina. The view from the windows is breath breaking, especially from the transit hall on the 41st floor. The rooms are very modern and clean. But the art design is dominating over the functionality. For example, the bathroom is impressing, but there are many solutions, unfriendly for you, like wash-basin, shower cabin, etc.
The main lobby makes very negative impression. It is large, extremely high, very loud and icy-cold. I had feeling, that I am on the railway station, not in the hotel. Generally, the hotel is so big, that there is even the problem to have a fast breakfast, because of the crowds of people, waiting for the table.
The location, despite of the fact, that the hotel is in Tsuen Wan, seems to be attractive.
The subway station is 5 minutes walking, and then there are 4 stops only, to reach the down town of Hong Kong. The internet price for the single room could be much below 100 US$, what is very good rate for HKG.

Got a cheap rate for this hotel for around 520HKD a night. The hotel itself is amazing, being quite new and modern. We stayed on the 72nd floor, so we needed to change lifts on the 42nd floor everytime we want to go out. We had the view to the east, so we could see the sun rise every morning.

The lobby was always full of tour groups from all over asia, though we didn't mind that at all. Location is a bit far from the city itself but luckily the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station, around 20 minutes on the MTR to the city centre.

Overall I think this hotel is excellent value for money.

Got a great rate through hotel's own site, (US$86/night for double). Asked politely for a room with a nice view upon check-in, and was given room with 180-degree view of Hong Kong harbor and waterways on 72nd floor!!! Mind-blowing views, left the curtains open at all hours and couldn't tear ourselves away from view. Also took a bath in the separate tub with its own view, TV and waterproof remote control. Really felt like a Ritz or Four Seasons at a fraction of the price. Tons of storage space for your things, coffee/tea in the room, very nice desk, very comfortable bed. Great shower, could go on and on.

Easy to reach from airport on the A31 bus for US$2.25, get off at Cheung On Street and walk 10 minutes towards the water. This tower dominates the whole area and is connected to 2 malls with lots of food choices. Also plenty of genuine local restaurants if you can figure out the menus - no English tourist menus! Quite close to Tsuen Wan West MRT station so only 20 mins to center of everything in Kowloon and Hong Kong.

Would not hesitate in recommending to almost anyone of any taste for HK.

Booked this hotel for a 10 night stay in Hong Kong. Arrived at the hotel after a late flight and the room was ready and waiting for us after a speedy check in.

Room was very spacious, much bigger than other rooms I have stayed in in Hong Kong, nice heigh ceilings and a huge bed. The room came with complimentary water and a large fridge so you can stock it up with what you want. Lobby had computers with free internet which was great, although they was in popular demand specially with the young members of the mainland Chinese tour groups which frequent the hotel.

Some nights was noisy due to the tour group who was also on our floor but as soon as they left the room was very peaceful and had a wonderful nights sleep.

Hotel is connected to the city walk shopping centre which has a supermarket inside and plenty of shops. Only a 5 min walk from the train station which takes about half hour to most places in Hong Kong, the hotel do run a shuttle bus to TST station but it costs the same as getting the train to anywhere in Hong Kong so you might as well just get the train.

Would defiantly stay at this hotel again, although the pool and gym were not open yet, this hotel is a great stay and when fully completed it will be one of the most luxury hotels in the new territories

I super loved our room in L'hotel Nina. We were able to get it on a promo price from our travel agent that's why we chose this hotel for our 3days 2nights stay in HK.

The moment the shuttle drove in the driveway of the hotel, the lights display on the ceiling caught our eyes. Immediately, I knew I picked the coolest hotel. We checked in and got upgraded to a deluxe harbourview room with a king-sized bed for free (I originally booked for a standard room). Since there were 3 of us, they added an extra bed. The room was spacious. I also noticed that they were 3 bottled water, 3 sleepers, 3 towels, etc..Wow, they really paid attention to the number of guests occupying the room, I was impressed. Everything looks clean and modern, from the elevators, to the hallways, to our room, even the bathroom.

I was really happy with the breathtaking view outside our window, imagine waking up and be greeted with calm waters that were once in a while interrupted by small and big ships quietly passing by, whew! A spectacular view also awaits you at night as you come home from a tiring day touring HK. The lights from the buildings, and other structures were truly magnificent, I can't stop staring outside the window.

There were lots of computer terminals in the lobby (usually occupied though) which you can use to surf the web for free. We discovered that less and less people use the computers as it got late at night, and by late I mean around 1am. There were also malls nearby: Citywalk and Tsuen Wan Plaza. It didn't matter that the hotel was not in the city center, MTR was a quick 30-minute ride away from the center plus around 10-minute walk from hotel to Tsuen Wan West Station. Check-in and check-out were very fast. The staff were nice and approachable (I asked where was the nearest McDo and they gave me instructions and a map) and they speak English. The lobby was usually jampacked with groups of tourists from different countries waiting to check-in or out so it was kinda noisy in that area.

Overall, the hotel was very modern, the interiors were very sleek and chic. We slept peacefully, no noise from other rooms. The aircon was cold. Sometimes the water heater in the shower wasn't as warm as we hoped but it was tolerable. We would definitely stay here again in the future. I already recommended it to some of my friends!

We booked this hotel by Asiatravel, which allowed us to not pay anything until we got there. We payed 60 euros per room per night, double room, tax included, so it was worthwhile the value. The building was astonishing (the tallest of the zone), the service was fine, the room huge compared to Hong Kong standards. It would be perfect if it was better located.

Nevertheless, the hotel is 5 minutes walking from Tsuen Wan West station, that can leave you in Tsim Sha Shui in 15-20 without changing the line. As I live near Barcelona I'm used to travelling each day to the city, so I think the distance from the city center wasn't an obstacle for our staying.

In conclusion, if you find a similar price to mine (I really recommend Asiatravel for that continent, used it twice and there was no problem with the bookings) it's a perfect choose for HK: huge room, luxury at good price, in the city of small places.
