I heard and read reviews of this hotel before I went to Hongkong. So I had high expectations of the hotel. Well, almost everything was up to my expectations. The hotel was very impressive, saw the towers even before we got into Tsuen Wan! Although the lobby was crowded, we were attended to quite quickly and we got to our rooms in no time. Our room was spacious by Hongkong standard. The only thing we didn't like about our room was the lighting - too dim even with all the lights on. Strangely, the bathroom was bright! Another negative point is there's no wifi in the room. Wifi is available in the lobby but it doesn't work in some areas of the lobby. A tip here for wifi - go to the corner opposite the lifts where there's a table - worked for me during my stay there. There are computers that are for hotel guests to use for free in the lobby too.
The location was just great - shopping malls and restaurants were within walking distance. The marketplace is just across the street, so it was interesting to see the locals buying their food. This was my second time staying in Tsuen Wan and I like this part better than the popular Mongkok or Tsimshatsui. I'll definitely return to this hotel when I'm in Hongkong again!

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem smaller because of the space and the decor, so if you want a more standard room...

Was there with the Probus Club of Orillia in October 2012. Our room was amazing. A rocket elevator took us to the 41st floor where we changed elevators for the 52nd floor. There is an Olympic sized INFINITY pool on the 9th floor I think, and so is the restaurant, where was a fine breakfast buffet. Floor to ceiling windows in our room, a little scary as the bath tub and shower are right on the edge. TV in bath room and bedroom with good selection of channels.Comfy bed.

Room Tip: Get a corner room overlooking the Metro station. Plumbing was excellent functional and W.C was weste...

I stayed here while attending a conference. This hotel is pretty impressive and is always jam-packed, but no matter how busy and crowded the hotel is, the staffs are always friendly and hospitable. They speak good English as well.

The location is great as well as it is near buses, taxis, and the MTR. It is located in the New Territories of Hong Kong, not in the usual islands, but the hotel is also attached to a mall, so there will never be a dull moment during your stay. Inside the hotel, there are also a lot of restaurants catering to international guests, it is really a good time to try all the restaurants.

Will definitely come back to this hotel when I drop by Hong Kong.

I stayed here on business (so not paid for by me). The hotel rate, food and drinks prices, laundry prices were all reasonable. Good selection of food from cooked english (ish) through Chinese was available at breakfast. Drinks are good value in happy hour. The hotel is in a nice area, with lots of low-priced ethnic small restaurants in the nearby streets, so we never ate in their main restaurant. Other than the lack of english menus, the small restaurants offer superb value for money and the food is just as good, but maybe the presentation is of a lower level! The MTR at Tsuen Wan is very close and has access to all of HK. I found the room to be a good size, with great views from the 70th floor (not for the faint hearted). The bathroom is well equipped as a wet room, with toiletries and a selection of those often forgotten toothbrush, comb etc.
Internet access is good value if you pay for 30 days! It worked out cheaper to buy 30 days than 3!
There are staff all over who are helpful, such as holding open the fast-closing lift doors. The lift ride is an experience, with the upper lift doing 30 floors in under 30 seconds from doors closed to open! My ears popped nearly every time.

Room Tip: Upgraded rooms get a clear view of the port.

Check in and check out was quick and efficient.
We wanted a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, but as they didn't have a non-smoking room available, we were upgraded to a smoke treated room on a smoking floor with a great view over looking the harbour. Our room was modern and clean. The staff provided a baby cot after we requested one, which was also made up by housekeeping every day there after. Customer service was good, as I speak Cantonese.
It took two lifts to get up to our room. This proved to be a very time consuming process. There's staff in the lobby to help at peak hours, but enough they can't control the confusion.
As this hotel mainly caters for mainland Chinese travelers, they are a really different people from the local Hong Kong Chinese.
On one particular occasion, we were in the lift and a big group of middle aged mainland Chinese travelers pressed everyone of the button (about 50 floors) inside the lift to try and find their floor. There was a discussion on every floor as to whether anyone needed to get out or not. After ten minutes of this nonsense, we were absolutely livid, as baby was getting agitated. In the end, I had to take control. Depressed all the unnecessary floors and said I'm closing the elevator door.
It's not difficult to find your floor, but it is to mainland Chinese travelers. The hotel needs to do something to help them.
Besides the lift issue, this hotel does not provide Wifi, just a landland connection. No good for ipad.
There's a big park next to the hotel, which is great for entertaining baby.
We found the location of the hotel convenient enough, but we did end up using taxis a lot just to save time walking to the nearest MTR station (Tueun Wan West).
To go to Disneyland HK, we took a taxi to Tsing Yi MTR station and it was easy from there. You can buy Disneyland tickets before hand at Circle K convenience stores, so you don't have to line up when you get there.
On check out day, we were able to leave our luggage with the concierge for the day and collect in the evening.
I would have liked to have stayed in this hotel longer, but the priced of the hotel room doubled when the electronics expo began in HK. So I had to move to another hotel for the reminder of our stay in HK.
But overall, this was a well priced decent hotel for HK in off peak periods. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Hotel at good location for going to Disneyland Hong Kong

Getting the hotel from the airport was very easy, we took a bus (A31) from outside the airport that ended in Tsuen wan station, it took us around an hour and cost $19 which we used our Octopus cards for (like the London Oyster card).

On the way home just to be sure we didn't miss our flight we got a taxi from outside the hotel to Tsing Yi station and took the airport express which all together was 45 minutes if that.

The hotel check in was quick, they also upgraded our room as it was my other halfs birthday, the room was quite big, it had a dining table and sitting area and the views on the 71st floor were amazing.

The bathroom had the choice of tub or shower, just remember to close the curtain so you aren't caught out ;)

The room itself were very clean, had all the usual toiletries, hair dryer etc and also had an empty fridge for you to use. They also had the most generous free bottled water ( 2 x 750ml ) we'd received in our whole 3 week tour of China & HK!

We didn't have breakfast there as the hotel is adjoined to 3 malls, nina mall & Citywalk 1 & 2.. so there are plenty of places to choose from. We didn't venture far from the hotel in the evening after a tiring day but I'm sure there were more traditional cheaper places outside the malls in the area.

The pool area was nice, you could sit in lazy boy chairs and relax or take a dip in the infinity pool & enjoy the views or if too cold they also had an indoor pool. Or if you are really crazy, they had an extensive looking gym too. I wish they had later opening times for the pools, they closed at 8pm so we often missed the chance to take a dip at the end of the day.

Our only dislike is that there is no in room free wi-fi. There is free wi-fi available in the lobby but it is often crowded & would be a lot more comfortable to have in your own room. The cost of buying the wifi is also pretty expensive. The wi-fi that was available in the lobby did have decent speeds.

Overall we had a lovely stay and we would most certainly return to Nina!
