Our first 4 days at Hongkong was with Harbour hotel on which we are so pleased. Because we extended for a day and Harbour is already fully booked, we seen the Rambler hotel at online and with the photos online, we thought this could be a very good hotel for our extended stay.

We are so certain that we read the profile or description of the hotel (agoda) and it says there free shuttle To the MTR. So we thought it would still be accessible on our way to the airport.

On our way to Rambler hotel, We took the Tsing Yi exit by MTR and took a taxi going to Rambler HoTel. There is taxi baggage policy which is HK$ 5 per baggage regardless if you're going to place it in the trunk or not. We paid HK$ 12. Upon check in, (there is an irate customer at the front desk complaining) found out that there is no bell boy to assist us on our luggage and the elevator was very frustrating. Frustrating coz it took us almost 30 mins to have our turn. The concierge was not able to assist us the free shuttfor a taxi for our 7am flight since they said that there are plenty of taxis around anyway.

When we got to our room,(Deluxe room) we think it was ok but the rest room was unbelievable. We don't think that it passed the standard of our room. We think it should be more better for the value we paid for. The bed was ok since it's quite huge for two persons. The tv was so weird! No english channel! How in the world will we be able to view or watch a movie while resting?! So we just decided to just grab someting to eat instead. There was no other restaurants available near the hotel or any landmarks or attraction that we can get to. There is one restaurant available in the hotel and 7/11. The worst experience in this hotel was bed bugs. I got quite big bites that's really swollen on all over my legs. The was scratching it the whole time. So itchy!

So the following day, we are not able to avail the FREE shuttle since we have to leave by 7am. Again we paid HK$12 to get to Tsing yi MTR then to airport express coz if we'll take taxi to the airport, according to the driver that he'll charge us HK$200.

Overall we don't recommmend this hotel since it is not accessible or no attractions, landmarks or mall near the hotel.

We stayed here for a night after spending 2 days in Disney resort. All my requests were granted- room on lower level, late check-in and queen size bed. And to my surprise, they upgraded our room.

The room was nice and clean, with spacious comfort room, but no nearby area to hang out except for the grocery store and few restaurants at the first level.

I was a bit shocked to learn that the hotel is far from the city, food supply bought at 7/11 and sandwich was freezed and not good to eat, it is not advisable to stay here if u want a relaxing or short trip in HK. There's no free WIFI, no charger, no free bottled water, and no free stockage of luggage after check-out. Not good to recommend....sorry, they (admin.) must looked into this.

Room Tip: very far and bad food. No free wifi / charger , even the stock luggage has fee for every bag, all accompanied by fees....tsk, tsk, tsk....they should looked into this....

We only stayed there one night. The hotel was OK, we slept pretty good. But it is hard to reach and quite far from the action. If you want to explore Hong Kong it would be better to get a hotel with a better location.
The staff was helpful.

If there is absolutely nothing else available in the neighborhood then maybe really as last resort. I booked this hotel last minute as most of my favorites places were full due to a convention in Hong Kong. This place is very bizarre, I don’t know if it was a previous apartment building transformed into a hotel or a previous retirement home. Imagine 15 tall apartment buildings in a complex and one tower is a hotel. All is designed for the elderly or the handicapped! The restaurant/bar is a joke; the hotel is full with 99.9 % very loud Chinese middle age groups from mainland China going on their first trip overseas ever! The room is very small and we had two single beds that were almost identical to the bunk beds I had in the military 40 years ago. There is a pool but to be shared with the entire complex; however no one was there, besides the life guard. Also the internet was a surprise; it’s available for the amount of 480 HKD per 24 hours or +/- 60 USD. Someone needs to explain me this. The place is in the middle of nowhere on an Island surrounded by absolutely nothing and even taxis don’t want to pick you up? The only plus is that if you take the elevator to the – 3 floor you are strait in a mini supermarket where you can buy almost anything F & B. If you manage to get to the TSING YI station complex then you’re back into civilization with zillions of restaurants and a huge ultra modern shopping mall. Personally I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and don’t worry with 1.4 Billion Chinese on the other side of the border I doubt they need additional business. I took a few pictures for the fun.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel !
