This is a really great place to visit in Sha Tin. There are many Buddha's here and it attracts a lot of Filipino, malays etc.

Best buy some incense for HKD10 and distribute them!

As everyone else has mentioned on here, it was a little difficult to locate. Once there it was a blast! It is a tough walk up the hill, many places are steep and some a bit slippery. Worth the walk just to see the view from the top. Beautiful!

Most important - very close to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery there is a temple that many climb to it by a mistake. How to avoid the mistake? if you are climing in stairs and do not see Buddhas every 2-3 meters from the begining you are not in the right way.
Very important - take a water with you.

One of my favourite places in Hong Kong. I arrived in the late afternoon and there was hardly anyone there. It was so tranquil and beautiful. The hike up can be a bit strenuous, but with a basic level of fitness, most people can easily do it. The interesting thing is no two of over ten thousand Buddha statues are in the same pose! All vary in some form or the other. Great place to meditate and get in touch with your spiritual self.
