“Travel up the escalators and get a glimpse of HK life”

This is a really cool experience! get a glimpse of the real HK while traveling up these (immensely long) escalators and stop at one of the many small bustling street exits for a snack or just to roam around.

“Convenient and interesting experience.”

As I stayed in Caine road, the escalator was an obligatory place we had to go every day. The hight of it is similar to a second floor so it is a wonderful place to see the restaurants and stores around from above.

All neighborhoods surpassing it are incredible, especially for the night life. An European area for sure.

“Ride it to the top and walk down”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

I'm not going to lie, I thought this idea sounded cheesy. But I really enjoyed it! It takes through all different areas of the city, starting in central - the financial hub, through SoHo, and to the more residential quieter places at the top. You see copious restaurants and shops, some streets looking more like you're in NYC or Europe than in Asia. There was a street with every type of cuisine imaginable, Italian, Greek, Argentinian. Once you're at the top, you can zig zag your way down, taking whichever streets strike your fancy. And why not stop for some coffee or pastries at the copious bakeries?

“Quick tour of Central”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014

Consider this your train ride around an "amusement park" -- only, it's around one of the most interesting neighborhoods in HK. Be a local and see various interests while you're at it -- pedestrians in HK fashion, quaint pubs and restos, quirky stores that you don't notice because you were too busy paying attention to your steps through the hilly neighborhood. Then you may choose where exactly you want to explore and get off the nearest break/stop. And be a tourist again.
