“Sham Shui Po.....the new Ladies Market from before”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

Sham Tsui Po has become the official new Ladies market that was from the times before internet was global and tourists found out about the night markets. Sham Shui Po gives a unique taste of goods and fashion with the cheapest prices you can get or buy in Hong Kong. If you are looking for fake goods though please be aware as police have made huge crackdowns here and basically only legal stuff such as random brand bags and etc are here. There are also a lot of toy shops and everything as well as computer games and arcades please see Golden Arcade centre where you can buy all the tech and IT stuff needed for your needs. Not too much bargaining happening inside the golden plaza but outside you can bargain quite a bit though there really is not much to bargain for when goods are pretty cheap.

While this place is starting to gain popularity probably for the next few years this will be the hidden gem not too many people will know about until they experience it as many believe that Ladies market is still the best hong kong market to go... WELL MOVE OUT THE WAY cause Sham Shui Po has officially become the new trend of markets to go towards. Literally everything you need and just expect to see a lot of people and take hours going through all the shops.

“Sham Shui Po - A different kind of shopping utopia!”
Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

Always wanted to visit this place which is often featured in Hong Kong dramas.

There were many exciting streets each with a specialty.
At Fuk Wing street, it's toys .
At Aplui street, there is a building called Golden Computer Centre...lots and lots of shops selling IT gadgets and camera stuff.

Then there's the Cheung Sa Wan street selling clothes.

BUT nothing beats the interesting Snake shop and Tofu shop. There is the wet market too!

THIS is the place to be if you to experience the Hong Kong way of life.

I will definitely be back again especially to they more food at Kwelin street.

“Must-stop for me and my husband - for fashion at wholesale prices and for computers and gadgets.”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

I always have to go to shamshuipo every time we go to Hong Kong. Some of my most timeless yet modern style clothing pieces, I bought from here for anywhere from 30Hkd Up. My three favorite denim jeans are from here bought for about 69hkd each. I have a skirt that I bought here that people guess is a high-end designer brand, but I bought it here for less than 50hkd. The shops are mostly for ladies and teens fashion, but on this trip, I got 5 pairs of casual shoes for 320hkd or about 32USD in total. My husband goes to the computer and gadgets mall in Dragon Centre. I make sure to allot at least two hours to coming here. So worth it. There are fast food places in case you need to se the lavatory, but these may be difficult for those unfamiliar with the area. Use Exit D of Shamshuipo station on the MTR for a good exit among the fashion and near the computer and gadgets.

“Best of Hong Kong”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I stayed here 7 days, it is the real Hong Kong. I loved my time here as will you. Hong Kong is a city of hard working people. Sham Shui Po is where they live. Nice parks and street market. Eatery's at every turn.

“All computer and electronic parts here”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

This is an area visited by locals if they want to buy computers, parts, games or anything to do with electronic goods (the last time I came here was to buy a GPS (US$70). If any reader do enjoy driving when travelling, I strongly recommend they buy one as well, much cheaper than renting and useful globally, online updates available). There are many local food stalls as well but this area does not worth your time as a tourist other than mentioned. This is probably the cheapest residential area in Hong Kong so be ready for that.
