We visited the Victoria harbour ,on December ,freezing cold because its an open area and winds are strong.A lot of people flock here to witness the Symphony of Lights , came from the buildings opposite the harbour.
Magnificent tall buildings, can be seen, with colorful lighting all over.Reflections of this lights , illuminates the water ,spectacular view. Some tourist boats , including the Traditional tourist Chinese Junk sailing on the bay. From this promenade, we can see some of the tallest buildings in HK city.
The Symphony of Lights itself was not that spectacular,a performace of dancing green laser lights for some period of time. Too many people pushing and rushing towards the nicest spot on the promenade.
The best thing about this attraction, its free.Worthed to visit at least once , to kill some of your time in HongKong

Hong Kong (literally "fragrant harbor") was founded as an entrepot because of its harbor. So it is not surprising that today the harbor and its magnificent buildings display the commerce, power and wealth that typify Hong Kong. The privileged can view Victoria Harbor from the privacy of their villas or hotel rooms from various aspects and angles, but common folks like us can enjoy the view for free from the best aspect of all at Kowloon's East Tsim Sha Tsui promenade. Safe, clean, and open, the promenade faces the Victoria side where bright advertising signs and skyscrapers make the water look like dark blue ink. The glowing cityscape is framed by the dark mass of Mount Victoria and the lights of houses and apartments extending all the way up to the peak (your view is others looking back at you). From left to right in the photo, the vertical sentinels of power and wealth are the Central Plaza (tallest building in HK for more than 10 years). the triangle shapes of architect I.M. Pei's "sprouting bamboo shoot" Bank of China Tower (the 4th tallest in HK), and finally the top of Two International Financial Centre showing above one of the promenade lamps at the right of the photo. It’s currently the second-tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong and 8th tallest in the world. The brightest ornaments of commerce to be found in the harbor are the green and white Star Ferries, the red-sailed tourist junk, Aqua Luna, and a Star Cruise ship that usually comes in to port in the mornings and leaves after sunset with its rigging festooned with lights. It would be worthwhile for visitors to linger for moment after nightfall just to take in the sweep of Victoria Harbor and to feel in it the history of Hong Kong as the darling of free market economists all over the world.

Yes same old same old, busy like other harbors, but a nice promenade. Ferries and busy harbor traffice, didn't seem eye catching or out of the ordinary to me.

Victoria Harbour cannot disappoint, it really is all you expect it to be. There is a Tourist Information Office here, where the staff are very helpful. The views are totally amazing both day and night! Star Ferry is a must!

The whole Hong Kong skyline unfurls in front of you as you travel around the harbour. Not sure what the cruise gives you but the Star Ferry is brilliant both day and night
