“The small garden was nice with labels, the zoo was not impressive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

On a hot day in August this zoo was really stifling with little wind due to dense foliage. The zoo part of the park was not impressive. Yes there are a number of monkeys, but no they are not in enclosures that lead to natural activity. And the info provided is minimal. The aviaries were difficult to see into due to the type of wire mesh used. The garden around the fountain was nicely done with lots of plant examples and labels and educational info.

“Nice gardens for kids in the heart of the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

I love those gardens as you can easily forget that you are in the city. You can on one side enjoy the monkeys area and on the other side the birds area with your kids:
there is also a big playground but don't forget your mosquito repellent spray!

“Sad Zoo - Dont go there”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

After reading some of the reviews here, we went to the Zoological and botanical gardens. The zoo is sad, most of the animals are not very active, they dont have enough space and are in small cages not in open grounds. The bird exhibit is only 4-5 cages and there are hardly any birds. Some of teh exhibits are closed like the reptile exhibit.

the gardens also close down in the evening, pretty early.

its not a place where you would enjoy, dont go there and waste your time.. also there are too many mosquitoes in the gardens.

“Small, but the animals are active!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

I've never been to a zoo where the Monkey's were so active! All different kinds and they were swinging and climbing all over the place. Tons of fun to watch. It's a nice, quick stop if you are in the city.
