1) My family and I put our first priority to stay at Disney's Hollywood Hotel.
2) Its surrounding is so peaceful and breathtaking.
3) The peace of mind is here.
4) The staffs were friendly and approachable. During our stay for almost 1week, we had ZERO comments on them. Thumbs up.
5) The hotel shuttle bus to the park is easily availabe.
6) Shop at the Hotel shop is another advantage to stay here.
7) My family and I prefer this hotel to Hongkong Disneyland hotel.

The price here was better than the Disneyland Hotel. The shop is smaller, as are the grounds, and there are less services. However you can take the free shuttle bus to the other hotel to experience the attractions there. We did this and it was fine. The Hollywood Hotel was enough for our first time experiencing Disney. In the room there were mickey room slippers, mickey toiletries and disney writing paper and postcards.
The garden view room does not face the park so you have to go outside to see the fire works. The kids enjoyed the bed time story session in the lobby in the evening and a dinner at Chef Mickey (although next time we would probably go to dinner at the other hotel as it has more characters). Getting to the park in the morning was easy and quick on the shuttle bus.
The only problem was that we had five of us in the room and there were only amenities for three. We phoned house keeping and they quickly brought up more toiletries etc. It's just a shame that you do have to ask for that instead of them sorting that out before you arrive.
It was great to be able to leave out luggage there after we checked out so we could spend the day in the park before our late evening flight out of Hong Kong.
We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night and visited the park on the MOnday and Tuesday. This gave us the Sunday evening to enjoy the hotel and visit the other hotel with out cutting in to our time at the park.
We didn't swim in the pool as it was too cold, being March. Maybe they could have made the jacuzzi warmer then we might have been tempted.
All in All, a lovely hotel, well worth the money. Especially as it was only a tiny bit more than the really budget hotel we'd been staying at in Kowloon before this.

Room Tip: If you want to watch the fireworks from your room get a top floor park view room. Otherwise, pay a...

Our second stay here!

Rooms are well maintained – we booked a basic garden view room with two double beds and a nice bathroom that had been recently refreshed. Pillows were shocking but housekeeping happily provided some extras. Tea and coffee facilities as well as an empty bar fridge.

Nice buffet restaurant providing good quality food. There’s also a diner/cafeteria style restaurant with some cheaper options as well as a nice lounge/bar that provides a snack/light meal service. No room service but the diner is open until late.

The pool, spa and outdoor restaurant were closed during our stay which wasn’t a problem due to the cool weather but this information wasn’t advised at the time of our booking.

Only minutes from the park by the free shuttle bus.

Staff, especially the concierge, are friendly and helpful.

If you’re planning to buy tickets and make restaurant reservations (the character breakfast at Disneyland Hotel is fab) suggest you do this at check-in rather than having to line up again later.

Really a self service family hotel that is reasonably priced and suited to families planning to spend most of their time at Disneyland. Lower cost than the Disneyland hotel so it does get very busy – fully booked during our stay in the quiet weeks before new year so early/late check-in can be problematic - so plan and book accordingly especially if you’re staying on a weekend.

My Husband and I with our 2 boys (5 & 3) had a wonderful time at this hotel. So close and convenient to the theme park (they have a very quick bus that takes you to the park and to the other Disney Hotel) All of the staff were so accommodating. Rooms were tight but had 2 double beds in them. We ate at Chef Mickey a few times and couldn't fault the service. They were very accommodating to my gluten free diet and my husbands fructose free diet. Loved the effort put into the food to look like characters from the Disney movies. The staff had nightly bed time stories where the children could gather in the lobby and have a cast member read them a story, it was wonderful. All and all a great experience. We would definitely recommend to people thinking of travelling to Hong Kong Disneyland, and it is cheaper than the other disneyland hotel but you can still visit the other one and use the services eg Breakfast with the characters which was great also, all 3 characters made sure they made it to every table and posed for photos with every guest table.
On the down side no room service at the hotel .

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary. On our honeymoon we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, which I would say is far more suited to a romantic couples holiday. There was nothing wrong with the Hollywood Hotel though, just not as luxurious. The room and bathroom were a decent size, and we had a great view of the fireworks as we booked a park view room. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and have great detail with hidden Mickeys everywhere! We had dinner at Chef Mickey's, which had a great variety of yummy food, but we thought was pretty overpriced for what it was. We had a light meal and drinks in the Studio Lounge, which we found to be quite good and better value. We had breakfast one morning at the Hollywood & Dine, which is more of a cafeteria style place. We were pretty happy with our breakfasts though. It was about 20 minutes walk to the park. We opted to catch the complimentary shuttle bus a couple of times which was also convenient.

We live in HK and because we have a newborn we did not travel overseas this year and stayed one night on our anniversary in a park view room. View of firework is good but not as good as viewing at the park.

We had dinner buffet at chef mickey restaurant, love the long-leg crab, dim sum and cookies! As we woke up late the next morning we couldn't do the breakfast buffet and had breakfast at the fast food restaurant and found the food is very overpriced. Paying HK$80 for a small western style/HK style breakfast which costs less than $30 at a local HK fast food restaurant. Anyway, you are stuck in a remote hotel without other options.

Generally we did have a great escape feeling at the park (without feeling in the city of HK). Probably we can enjoy more in the summer when the outdoor poor is reopen. It's always good to stay at a Disney hotel while visiting Disney theme park.

Room Tip: Choose park view room if you want to view firework from the room.

A must when you travel to Disneyland!
The beds are awesome. And the room are spacious which can accommodate 2 couples at once! Basically its the best stay I had in Hong Kong.
THe breakfast MUST HAVE! Scrumptious yet great variety! Though its pricey but overall it worth for the stay.
Will be back again definitely!!
