Stayed for 3 nights recently as part of an extended trip to Hong Kong. Arrived by taxi from the airport after 7 pm and checked-in very quickly by avoiding large crowds at check-in/-out in the late morning-early afternoon. Had heard of the Disney touch in their themed hotels worldwide and this one did not disappoint. Hidden Mickeys on the elevator doors, in the room and all around the hotel.

Booked a twin room, which had two double beds, with a sea view. The room was large enough to sleep up to 4 adults - not too many hotels in Hong Kong can probably boast this. Beds were very comfortable and TV programmes had enough Disney channels to keep the kids entertained. Housekeeping staff were the most engaging we had ever encountered anywhere in the world and kept the room very clean and well-supplied with amenities.

Had breakfast daily at the Hollywood & Dine restaurant. Prices were not cheap (expected, though cheaper than the buffet restaurant) but portions were reasonable. Shuttle buses to the HK Disneyland Park were frequent (approx, every 10-15 mins) and convenient. At the Park interchange, it is still a 8-10 min walk from the entrance proper. On the day we left, we had thought of taking the MTR to Kowloon but we paid HK$125 for a taxi ride which we though was quite reasonable. Overall, an excellent base for visiting HK Disneyland.

This is not my first time to a Disney theme park or resort...3:00 pm is a standard Disney resort check-in, so beware if you have an early flight because they will not accommodate you at all unless you book an extra day early...As it is called the happiest place on earth you can see smile on the cast members faces as they help you with everything that you need....

Room Tip: try to upgrade your room to a nicer view

I have been in this hotel 5 years ago. There is not much change in it, nothing better, nothing worse. It is maintained quite well while the price also keep high or even higher. Do not expect to get a budget room rate, there is no discount at all, at least i did not find. I can stay at a more convenient and better hotel with the same price, though it was cheaper than Disneyland Hotel. Of course, you have no choice if you have kids and want them to have fun at Disneyland.

For transport, you can take MTR while I did not find shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus to and from MTR and Disneyland run until midnight.

The food in the restaurant in hotel is quite expensive, usually 3-4 times as the normal price. You can have more choices and cheaper price for food in Disneyland.

Room Tip: I went to Tung Chung where a big supermarket is at Basement 1 in 东荟城名店仓(a big shopping centre) and b...

Stayed for a night at its seaview room with 2 queen beds that are slightly smaller than the regular queen beds in most hotels. Nevertheless, the beds fit us - 2 adults and 2 kids perfectly well. The room is spacious but we can't view the sea due to the weather and the sea itself is faraway. Bathroom is spacious too with bathub.

Tiny towelletes in bold colours shaped into animals are complimentary including Mickey Mouse paper cups with plastic cover and also the room slippers but not the cloth laudry bag.

Besides the restaurant, Disney Hollywood has a fastfood joint that sells sandwiches, cakes and scrumptious croissants with coffee, tea and cold drinks...unlike the other hotel. This is a plus point as the food at this fastfood joint is quite reasonable.

Malibu Toy Shop is a kids' playroom in this hotel mended by the hotel staff, located nearby the fastfood joint on the ground floor. Kids will love their time here getting their hands on some craft.

The pool seems interesting and the garden surrounding the hotel is worth to explore. Make sure you spend some time to capture some pictures around the hotel.

The staff are attentive and helpful. 3 came to our room with a huge cutter to help my husband cut a padlock of his luggage when the key went missing in the Disneyland Park.

Free shuttle bus will be waiting for you once u have arrived Disneyland Park to bring you to your hotel. Just ask the many Disneyland Park staff for direction to the shuttle bus area. You can hop on the bus to get around to the other hotel i.e. Disneyland Hotel for sightseing.

Room Tip: Depend on your preference, if you are with kids, probably rooms facing the parks would be ideal and...

My family and I stayed in this hotel for one night and two days on the first week of this month. We had booked the stay in advance through our travel agent and arrived at around 11 am in the morning after a long 6 hour night flight. Then, guess what ? The polite staff at the hotel breaks the exciting news that we can't check in before 3 pm and our check out time would be 11 am next day ! After I explained to them that we were never given such odd check in timing intimation by our travel agent, and that we had a 4 year old toddler with us who was awake all night and quite tired by then to "enjoy the Disney park till check in" as suggested by the courteous hotel staff, we were offered yet another brilliant suggestion ! Go for an upgrade for 100 HKD to a "firework viewing room" and we can get an immediate check in ! Truly a well planned con job for the weary traveller !
We agreed and were checked in immediately !

However, other than this specifically distasteful incident, the stay was quite comfortable and pleasant. Yes, we did see the Disney fireworks from our room that night !

Good breakfast spread but I thought there was too high concentration on bread products.

Excellent shuttle bus service to the Disney Park and polite and cooperative staff all around ! In fact we left our bag in one of the buses and got it back quite fast and quick ! Thanks to the prompt help from the hotel staff !

So would I recommend this hotel to fellow travellers ?

YES ! Great service, polite staff, lot of open spaces to run, walk and have a great time. Kids would love it.

Just, just confirm your check in timings before you land up !

Room Tip: Ask for either a "Fireworks viewing room" or a "Harbour facing room".

I recently spend a night there with the kids and booked 2 rooms. This being my 2nd stay at Hollywood. This is a good place to stay to get the entire Disney experience given its proximity to the park. Its also a more cost effective alternative to the Disney resort hotel.

The Good - The kids playroom keeps them busy while adults indulge at the buffet restaurant. The Cafe provides an economically efficient solution to meals like breakfast and snacks.

The not so good - Generally food quality could be better given its status, though not terrible. We requested for a connecting room when booking which the hotel could not provide. The cost effectiveness is unfortunately reflected in the room amenities as quality of toiletries could be better. The mini bar was empty and there were no wine glasses in the room.

It completes the Disney experience as the kids like the fact that they are surrounded by Disney paraphernalia and stuff. The overall experience could be better for the adults as well if some of these rough edges were attended to.

Room Tip: Our request for connecting rooms was not availed
