The Xi Hotel is extremely well located with easy access to Nathan Rd and the Star Ferry Terminal. Rooms are cosy but well maintained and clean. Breakfast is fresh although the selection is fairly limited.

Our stay was for 7 nights, we were informed we had a room upgrade on the 16th floor, nice touch

The staff were friendly enough and relatively helpful, although the $1000 HK mini bar deposit for us but only $500 HK for locals was a bit rough I thought

The room itself is large by Hong Kong standards,2 people, a couple of suitcases and the ubiquitous shopping bags fitted relatively well, it was clean, the aircon worked well but was quite beaten up, as was the carpet.

The location is great for Kowloon shopping, dining and is close to the MTR, the Airport shuttle (K3) drops off/picks up from the Holiday Inn on Mody RD and it is a short 4 minute walk to Xi.

if you want a large variety of tours I would also suggest you book them there also

Breakfast is basic with the only warm items being tea and coffee and if you are there early enough a boiled egg, there are cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurt as well but the menu stays the same every day, it was included in the room price so that was fine.

We didn't try the evening meal so we cannot comment here, the restaurant at the end of the street on the same side as Xi seemed full with a queue to get in every time we passed. Generally a good sign but we didn't eat there either

Wifi was included but sometimes not reliable, this may have been due to the wedding party staying at the same time

I guess the real let down for us was the noise coming from the street at night, there is a night club across the road and shall we say (and we were on the 16th floor) you could hear the shouting and talking as if the people concerned were in the room beside you this goes on until the small hours of the morning, your alarm clock in the dawn is the sound of delivery trucks being parked in the local street.

If you are a light sleeper then this is not the place for you, if it is then bring ear plugs. the sound insulation from the windows is not at all good.

I do notice that the manager does reply in kind to the reviews, any, shall we say, negative points are taken note of, unfortunately in my experience they haven't been acted on.

So if you like noise, night clubs, shopping, easy access to public transport and to good restaurants in the local area then you could stay here, if quietness is your thing (like me) then this is not the place for you

A Boutique Hotel in the true sense of the word this is not, an above average budget city hotel with large rooms in a good location it is

Room Tip: there are 4 rooms per floor, try to stay away from the street frontage, there is a laneway at the ba...

What more can you ask from a hotel in this price range? The hotel and staff exceeded my expectations, and I enjoyed my stay here more than I did at other more expensive hotels in the area. The room is clean, bed is comfy, shower was nice (nice sized bathroom), air-con worked well, air purifier was a nice touch. TV quality was great with several cable TV channels.

The room I booked (Queen Deluxe) was big enough for me, I do not travel lightly and buy a lot while in HK. The location is great. I always stay in TST everything you can possibly want is in walking distance. And I have never felt unsafe in TST, even walking b y myself at 3am.

The noise from the street below was sometimes a bit loud especially at night with people coming out of the bars. But it was nothing to keep me awake.

I was lucky enough to witness TVB doing some scenes from a TV drama. That was interesting. Watched from hotel lobby.

Just a great experience, will stay at Xi Hotel again. :-)

Xi Hotel is convenient but calling itself a boutique on the lines of those found in London or Paris is stretching the truth. The rooms are small and the shower door does not stop water running out on to the bathroom floor. The price of Evian water was outrageous so avoid that trap. I arrived early and they would not allow me to check in without paying for an extra half day charge. All in all very poor value for money.

Room Tip: Stay away from street side as there is a noisy nightclub opposite.

In a great spot in Kowloon just 2 mins walk from nearest metro behind a very call mall called the Art Mall or K11.
Depending on what end of the street you approach, the street can feel really dodgy but its not.

At night the street transforms and there is 6 bars or more that open. They arent noisy though.
We had breakfast included in our which was a nice mix of standard western comforts and asian bakery food. We also got a free upgrade.
Rooms air conditioning was great, fridge and large bathroom.

This is a great hotel: well located, friendly, and good value for money vs local competition. It has a small footprint, but is around 20 floors, with four rooms per floor. We booked a standard room through Agoda, and as someone else has mentioned, the representation there about room size was inflated compared to reality. Also, we were booked into a room that smelled of mold; upon asking to be given another room, we found that one and also a third all smelled of mold. They all happened to be located in one section of the hotel, the same location on each different floor in the mid-levels of the building (believe the room numbers were all xxx3); it seems they have a mold problem in that section of the building. The receptionist was very considerate, friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Wendy), and we were eventually given the last room available, which happened to be a top floor (xxx1) and a superior room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-lit, clean and the shower was (surprisingly) fantastically powered and hot. Mold was absent. We could see a sliver of the bay, which was a bonus. The breakfast buffet (in the lounge bar, and can be taken to the outside terrace) is plentiful, with good coffee, and a nice selection of pastries (can be heated), toast and jams, fruit and yoghurt. On our last day we were flying late; after checking-out, there was no problem leaving our bags locked away on a rack in their office for the whole day whilst we continued sightseeing. The hotel is very conveniently located for the Tsim Tsa Tsui & East stations. We would return to Xi Hotel.

Room Tip: Try to secure a room above, perhaps, the 6th floor in order to avoid potential noise from bars oppos...

Stayed here for 8 nights based on reviews on Trip Advisor. Advantage is that it is a 2 minute walk to MTR and Nathan Road. For Kowloon it is very quiet. The room gets serviced every day with water, tea & coffee. The size of the room is fine for 2 people. The breakfast will not win any awards but then you do not choose a hotel for the breakfast, do you? It is the same every morning - pastries, boilt eggs, cerial, fruit & yogurt. There is free wi-fi in the room. If I come back to Hong Kong I will stay here again.
