It was an awesome stay at Ah Shan's. It's a family run business located in old residential building. The lifts are a little bit slow, so please plan your time wisely.

The rooms are very clean, cleaner than some hotels I would say! When we were staying there, the room was cleaned daily. The standard room is only 8sqm big, if you can't stand a room this small, please book the higher category - Deluxe. Outside the rooms are with unlimited drinking water and toilet paper, consider very generous of them for a hostel.

The reception also provides other services like selling tickets to Disneyland, Ocean Park, jet transport to Macau and etc, all at discounted rates.

It is located in a very strategic area, walking distance to Mongkok MRT station less than 5 minutes. Around the building, there are lots of restaurants and eateries open daily till night time. Also, the famous Women's street, "Sportshoes" street and Garden Street are just across the building.

Will come back to this hostel for sure and recommend my friends to stay.

Room Tip: Standard room is only 8sqm big, book a higher category room if you can't take to be in small spa...

Room small but comfy enough just for sleeping after a long day walk.

Location is perfect, near MRT Mong Kok Station, Ladies Market and Fa Yuen (Sneaker) Market.

Entrance to Sincere Building is guarded 24 hours, so it feel safe.

Comfy and Safe that should be enough for Budget Traveller.

Room Tip: Ask for 15th floor room

Some staffs are friendly but some are just so-so.
The location is great! Only few walks from Mongkok MTR, opposite of Lady market and full of various shops and restaurants.
The room is small as it should be. But we found some water on the floor when we entered the room.

Anyway, what i don't like is our booking was "twin deluxe" but the staff said the room was unavailable and "upgraded" our room to room for 4 people, or dormitory. But i don't think it's "upgraded". It's "downgraded".

Room Tip: Be prepare to be moved to other rooms or other hostels.

We stayed here for 3days and 2 nights only. We booked in advance thru their website and my credit card was charged with 10% deposit of the total room rate for 2 nights. You may check their website to see their room types and rates. Rates vary depending on the season. We booked one room with private amenities (for 2 adults). Our room has a refrigerator, LCD TV, air conditioner, hot and cold shower, double bed, drinking water heater, cups and glasses, 5 pairs of slippers even though we were just two people, several clothes hangers, unlimited tissue, lotion and body foam, and towels. Our unit is really small but it doesn't matter because the room is so cozy and clean. The lady helper of Ah shan is really nice and kind and also funny. She cleans our room everyday. On our second day in Hong Kong, we were outside the whole day but when we came back in our unit, it was already cleaned and take note, all our valuables remain untouched. Our unit is relatively safe. To enter the building, you have to input the four digit code on a machine at the entrance. Then another 3 door locks to access your unit. The entire area is equipped with CCTV connected to our bedroom. When we checked out early in the morning, we didn't bother to go to Sincere House to return the key. We just left the key inside our unit and get out.

The place is also very accessible or should I say, PERFECT LOCATION. Just a few minute walk to MTR Mong Kok Station, a minute walk to 7/11, a short walk to A21 bus stop going back to the airport which is situated outside Mong Kok Market. At night, we go shopping at Ladies Market and eat famous Hong Kong Street Foods.

We are planning to visit Hong Kong again before the year ends and definitely I will not try anymore other accommodation in Hong Kong. We will definitely book here.

We made a booking more than 2 months ago for a deluxe room at 82.24 Euro for 2 nights.
Upon arrival at 8:30 PM we where told that the room was taken but they would find us an alternative.
After paying the full balance of 756 HKG $ we where brought to a below standard room of King Wah.
1,7m x 2,4m and a bathroom of 70 cm x 1,7m, no mirror in the bathroom.
Early in the morning we checked out and asked for a better room .
Embarrassed by our constant complaining while other customers passed by they give us the room we had booked.
When asked for a refund of the difference between what we got and what we paid for, or a free late check out for the inconvenience it was refused.
The female manager don’t speak English and the whole conversation goes via a Filippina helper.
It is better to book a room and pay in full with a booking company so that the booking company and the hostel cannot blame each other for clients who make a booking and don’t show up.
The management of Ah-Shan is completely unreliable, be aware.

Safety is a real problem. I was in my room at this hostel and a stranger came in during the day who was not a staff member. He obviously copied the key (after all he was a local) and was looking for valuables . Luckily I had returned to my room to get something. I tell you that SAFETY is a big issue here. Who knows whether the staff tip some local off that you are gone from your room.

Stayed here Nov 2012 for 4 nights with two friends. Rooms are small, but clean. Fresh towels everyday. Beds are comfortable. Price wise, this is one of the best deals you can get for a budget hostel in Hongkong.

One thing though, the bathroom for the private rooms are TINY - at least for the room we had. You're better of choosing the room with common bath.

The place is very strategic. The ladies market and the MTR are just stones throw away.

TIP: If you're going to Disneyland and other attractions, ask the office for vouchers. You can get around 10-20 HKD discounts with the vouchers. :)
