“Chillax at Casa”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

Great little spot to spend the evening in Sai Kung for a bite and a drink. Casa has a very good tapas food and beer and wine list - excellent value for money. Nathan and the team at Casa will do their very best to take care of you, as long as you're as chilled as Sai Kung town and aren't expecting instant service (it does get quite busy at times). Tucked away in a lane behind the seafood restaurants the outdoor area has a great atmosphere like the town of Sai Kung.

“So far so good! Hope this place manages to stick around”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

Have visited Casa a couple times this year and continue to have no complaints. This remains a refreshing change on the Hong Kong dining scene, offering a nice variety of tapas as well as a decent selection of wines and international beer choices.

The staff are lovely, they don't make the finest cocktails in the world but the wine choices are fine and there are some good beers on offer. We have tried many of their tapa varieties, some are very good. We can't seem to get enough of their bacon wrapped figs and also rate their chorizo and meatballs.

What we also very much enjoy about Casa is the casual, relaxed environs found within their indoor and outdoor seating area. This place gets the Sai Kung vibe perfectly and has blended very well into this local community. So far, so good with Casa. We hope they manage to stick around.

“Go for the wine, forget the food”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

Their large selection of wine by the glass that is reasonably priced is really their main attraction. Go there for some casual drinks with friends, before you head some place else for dinner/snacks. I've tried giving their food a chance over and over, thinking each time would be different, but it never is. As someone who is a fan of Spanish tapas and has tried a fair share, in and out of Spain, I'm not really sure if they have a real grasp of Spanish flavours and seasoning. So, like I said -- go for the wine . . .

“Interesting food but not Spanish”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

This bar/restaurant is a nice change to the usual ones in Sai Kung. It is a great place to meet friends and hang out the whole evening.
There are high tables with benches and chairs along both walls. They are usually shared by people. Outside there are wooden tables and benches available as well.
Ambiente is nice, staff is helpful and friendly.
But if you are looking for real Spanish food you will not find it here. The famous "patatas bravas" are just baked with smoked salt - but then again, you shouldn't expect to get patatas bravas as they are called patato bravas with smoked salt, so the name is a giveaway already. unfortunately we expected bravas with the usual sauce and were disappointed.
The iberico ham is served with quail eggs (I don't remember getting iberico with quail eggs in any tapas bar in Spain) and the Spanish tortilla comes with balsamic dressing....
The Spanish wines are ok but there are much better Spanish ones around at the same affordable prices.
We tried a few of the Australian ones but decided it would be better to stick to the beer from Australia/New Zealand. Not to talk about the offered Prosecco.
So if you are only looking for a nice place to hang out with friends and have an enjoyable evening this is the place to go.
If you are looking for typical Spanish food, this is not it.

“Standout Tapas in Sai Kung”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

This place has the best of both worlds, Amazing food and cheep. Great selection of drinks from around the world including beers, wines, ciders and spirits all at affordable prices. The food is excellent. Very affordable and a lot of choices including vegetarian dishes, seafood dishes and meat dishes. Standout dishes for me personally were the spicy pulled pork and the Wagyu beef. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. You have a choice of indoor and outdoor dining or you can stand around the bar if you wish to.
