We walked a long way up Nathan Road from the Star Ferry. It was a bit of a hassle constantly being asked if we wanted a suit made for us but they took no for an answer which is more than we have found in some places. The Ladies market was cool and we enjoyed haggling for different things there.

Nathan Road is a busy shopping street in Kowloon; interesting, but since I am not into shopping it gets only three stars from me. I had one experience of being ripped-off in Kowloon (bought some old "silver coins"; turned out they were fakes) so I do not shop here anymore except at reputable stores (Tom Lee for music books; Watsons for basics).

In other words, shop at your own risk.

Feel the burning desire to pay top dollar for designer goods? Visit 5th Avenue or stop by Nathan Road. Beautiful window displays, if you can tolerate every 4th person offering you a fake Rolex, fake handbag, or a tailor's services.

Something for everyone here, but it's very busy and packed at all times of the day! Certainly one of the longer roads to walk down and explore!

If there's a particular area that one would probably want to explore for shopping options it's definitely along Nathan Road. This road stretches all the way from waterfront near Victoria Harbor on up into Mongkok and beyond. It's also a great place to truly capture 'the image' of HK with one's camera (especially at night when all the neon signs are aglow with light!). Glitz, glamor, lots of people walking along this road ,and many many many shopping centers along with countless individual shops and stores to explore in. (Not to mention all the side streets one can walk down that also harbor many small shops of all kinds).
Virtually everything can be found here from shoes, t shirts and jackets to bags and belts.
However, many of the stores tend to be a little pricey (but certainly not all).
If one is searching for other places to shop and don't mind a slightly more tourist infused location (but with lower prices), try Temple Street which is situated very close to Nathan Road and easily accessed via the Jordan MTR. It's there I harvested some truly MEAN t shirts for just over 7$ US! (or 59 HK$).
Anyways, Nathan Road was a cool and fun place to walk along although sometimes there are touts along this area trying to sell you various things like hotel rooms to watches.
Best advice? Just ignore them and they'll leave you alone quickly.
