“Only place to stay!”

Best area to stay and experience the bright lights of hk. It is cheap enough to catch a taxi to most other parts around hk too.

“Food and Shopping!”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

there is so much to see and do in Tsim Sha Tsui, i don't know where to start! TST is the heart of HK shopping! i can walk around the area all day and all night and still not get enough. there are a lot of hidden treasures in quaint boutiques and yummy food joints!

“Don't buy cameras here!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

The camera shops in Tsim Sha Tsui are mostly rip-off artists and con-men. One shop tried to sell me a lens for twice it's UK retail price, and tried to sell my wife a generic battery for more than a genuine one, claiming it had more capacity and was better quality! Another shop, called Full Wing Camera and Video on Nathan Road, sold me a fake polarising filter that was just two bits of coloured glass. This shop is easily recognised as it has an almost identical shop next to it, which is probably the same business. It looks very professional, with loads of neon Nikon and Canon signs outside, but don't be taken in by the look of the shop. They are also selling Rollei branded wide-angle adaptors for lenses, which Rollei actually don't make. There's also a lot of reports of people getting home and finding the camera in the box is not the one they thought they were buying, but a lower-specced model. A colleague of mine was sold what turned out to be a fake Sony camera.

Overall, an interesting area, just don't buy anything, go to Mongkok instead.

“Hong Kong”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

It is no longer the same "Hong Kong" I visited 15 years back. It is packed with alot of China visitors. All the old "authentic" Hong Kong feel is not there any more. What left is the taste of food "Tim Sum" remain the icon of Hong Kong. Not keen to visit again.
