The location was the best part of the hotel. The walls are really thin, there was no soap or blankets in our room and the hotel smelt of smoke a little. The beds were really hard. Not an amazing stay but then we didn't pay heaps, I guess you get what you pay for. The staff were moderately helpful.

Prior to checking in, I looked up this hotel as I didn't make the reservation. I'm a firm believer of seeing with one's own eyes and passing judgement based on one's own experience. Though I was a bit put off by how small the rooms reflected in the photos, I remained positive. Maybe the service will make up for its lacking physical qualities?

Kings de Nathan is conveniently located steps away from the MTR and the bus stop to the airport is right across the street. Upon arrival, I noticed the lobby is quite small but sufficiently decorated to greet its visitors. I checked in late February and the AC was on full blast. Hong Kong's a bit warmer than China but not to the point where you need to blast the air con like it's 90 degrees outside. There is only one lift that services 13 floors of this establishment. It's small and cramped. Extremely inconvenient when you have multiple guests checking in and out with luggages in tow. Other guests would either have to take the stairs or wait for the next elevator ride (hopefully an empty car).

We stayed on the 13th floor and the rooms were mediocre at best. The rooms were extremely small so navigating around requires time and patience. They provide very basic amenities such as towels (which weren't very clean), shampoo / shower gel, toothbrushes with toothpaste, hair dryer, and comb (and a safe!). Complimentary bottles of water isn't provided so those that are used to traveling to China, take note! They do provide a kettle for you to boil water but the one we had in our room leaked. Luckily this hotel is surrounded by corner stores and street vendors as well as restaurants. The wifi connection was spotty but it's free (based on several reviews I've read elsewhere this is a commodity)! There's only one working outlet in the room so charging electronics was a major inconvenience. The maintenance staff was very nice and prompt when servicing your needs. All in all, I enjoyed my stay. For those that aren't picky and want something very simple and basic, this will do as the bathroom's relatively clean and they do service your room when you're gone. For those that are seeking a bit more, you're better off elsewhere.

Its not our first time in HK but for this price, Kings de Nathan offers value for money stay. The standard double room comes in appropriate size (slightly bigger than most hotel within the same price range), comfort and convenience. Location is superb. Walks to mtr and cinema behind, and near the temple st market. Hairdryer, toothbrush, face towel, slippers, safe deposit box, fridge, all provided. But there's no bottle water. Gotta boil own. But circle k is just next door. Wee hour hunger not an issue, local street fare literally within steps from entrance. Next time will be back if I decided to stay at Yau Ma tei area.

Stayed 4 nights in a std double / twin last weekend, room 903, facing side street off Nathan Rd. The hotel was good value booked on Agoda, and very close to Temple St Night Market and the TST / Mong Kok shopping / eating area.
The ensuite bathroom had a great bath/shower, very spacious. The bedroom has quite firm though comfortable mattresses, a colour tv, safe and fridge. Decor is quite modern, very pleasant. Free wifi in all rooms. A few minutes away is McDonald's for breakfast, and plenty of Chinese cafes.
Service was good overall, staff polite and helpful - they even let me make a free phonecall from the Reception desk. I will be happy to stay here again. Recommended.

Room Tip: Facing the side street off Nathan Rd gives you a bright sunny south-facing aspect - but more road no...

Only stayed at this hotel for the very last night of my trip in Hong Kong as one of my friends in my travel party of 5 went back a day earlier. 4 of us booked the family room meant for 3 and the rooms are indeed very small, not much space for us to move or even pack our luggages but no complaints about that since the room was meant for 3. Really convenient location, just a short walk to the MTR and Temple Street with convenient stalls nearby. What really was the best of it all was that we had a 7am flight to catch and got to be at airport at 4 plus am and the bus stop for us to catch the night bus N21 to the airport was literally right in front of the airport! Take bus A21 during the day should you be navigating to the airport in the day instead.

Upon check in, staff informed us that I had book 2 single bed room but they can only "convert“ it to queen size bed on the next day. Basically they join the 2 beds together and lay a thin sheet over them to make it look like queen bed. ( still can feel the hard edge in the middle) No complimentary water provided. Shampoo cum body bath not top up. Cup don't bother to wash. Basin leaking. Room will be very cold during cold weather . Room sound proof very bad, will get disturb by yr neigbour if they talk at normal tone. Light very dim. No place to hold yr lagguage. Holes n stain can be found on towers. 1 and only slow lift that serve all the guests. Charge HK10 for each lagguage keep in their hotel after u checked out.(never heard this b4) Nevertheless the location is good and easily access to mtr n shopping areas.

To go to the hotel from Hong Kong airport, you can try to get the 3-day Airport Travel Express Pass (to-n-from airport + 3 days unlimited travel on MTR and buses). Instead of queuing up at the airport to get the pass, you can just board the train and get the pass at your last train station, in our case, we alighted at Hong Kong Station. From here, go a level up and look for free shuttle service to City View Hotel. You would need to walk for about 300m to reach the hotel.
The hotel can easily be accessed too via MTR Yau Ma Tei exit C (from this exit, turn left and walk for about 50m, turn right and walk for 10m and voila, the hotel entrance is on your right).
The room is clean with sound proof windows and with comfy beds. It is abit small for the 3 of us but since we stayed out most of the time, it was still acceptable. Its surrounding is full of shops, restaurants and convenience stores. Try the dim sum which is about 20m away (from hotel's entrance, turn right, walk for about 20m and turn left, dim sum shop is on your left), desserts shop which is across the street, food on skewer, curry fish balls. You may also check out the claypot rice ("po chai fan") which is about 100m away from the hotel. We did not try this though but we noticed the Hong Kongers were queuing for as long as 10-20m for it. Hotel is also located very near to Temple Street Night Market and Ladies' Market.
