Description: A buzzy, neighbourhood style restaurant & bar opened in July 2013 featuring Isaan cuisine and a great selection of beers and drinks. A place not just to eat, but also to hang out at the end of the day. Originating from the 'Isaan' region, this cuisine has a raw, down to earthiness about it that is rarely found in other regions. Focusing on grilled meats and fish prepared on the charcoal pit, Chachawan's menu offers distinctive and wholesome 'Isaan' style dishes that pack a punch of flavours. No reservations, no service charge.

A very busy restaurant deserving of high score for the authenticity of the food. Not perhaps the largest menu but all that we tried was incredibly good. Five of us and we shared dishes so plenty to try. Don't skip dessert! Very prompt and friendly service (not always the case in HK) maybe bit cramped and noisy but everything else makes up for it.

Just opened. Looks like they have extended the menu since we were there. Food seemed expensive and I've had much better Thai elsewhere even in UK. The only vegetable dish on the menu was not available, and a bottle of water which was offered at the start was an expensive additional charge on the menu. Very much more of a place to be seen than a restaurant on our visit

The Thai food was some of the tastiest ever, especially the prawn dish. All the offerings were excellent, except, perhaps the squid. It was quite stringy and chewy. The service was friendly, helpful and quick. The noise was over the top! We were seated on the upstairs floor of the restaurant, with no windows and no sound proofing - wouldn't do that again!

Wonderful food arguably the best Thai in Hong Kong and certainly very true to Thai street food. Food was very tasty especially the sea bass . Only complaints were size of table and noise level . However, excellent and deserving of 5 points

Had crab meat omelette, grilled chicken thigh, river prawns w egg plant salad. Food is tasty compared to many Chinese food places. The sweet n sour just opens up the appetite. The grilled chicken is quite substantial but the fried egg is rather expensive n salty. N the egg is not crispy as described. Overall was pleased with the food. The place is very noisy once it gets filled up. Other than the noise it's great !
