Definitely going to stay with them on my next visit to HK!

I wasn't really able to join or hang out with everyone that much during my stay. But even with the short time I had with them, I definitely felt homey! By the time, I first stepped in the place, Sam gave me a warm welcoming smile! And surely the place smells so clean! I knew then that I'm going to have a great stay with them. Sam made sure I'd feel comfortable around the place. The owner, Albert was surely the chief urban packer, thankful he has this place for us. They sure know how to make their guests feel at home.

They only offer dorm-type rooms but this comes with a reason, this way their guests can mingle with other travelers whose purpose is also to get to know other travelers from across the world. One of the reasons too that I chose to stay with them is they have free coffee! For someone like me who needs coffee upon waking up, this is really something. We don't have to go out to jumpstart the day. They almost have everything I needed - microwave, hair blower, massage chair, WiFi plus a computer to use, cozy and clean bathrooms, guide books about HK, cool interior, great bedspace with a lamp and friendly staff and guests! They have one of the best hostel location - safe, presentable neighborhood and just a minute walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui station, malls and boutiques if you're fond of shopping and everywhere else! One of the reasons that made my HK trip worthwhile.

Urban Pack is run by 2 awesome Canadians that treated guests like family. They recommended loads of great stuff (ask about Mr Wongs!) and created a really chilled vibe within the hostel. Some nights we would just sit with them and watch films, other nights we would hit the bars!

Its a great place to meet people and socialise and the facilties are great, particularly the showers which were crazy awesome! Its all Air conditioned and the beds were comfy. The hostel itself has really cool decorations and is smack bang in the centre of Hong Kong, it could not be in a better position. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in!

As the name might suggest, Urban Pack isn't going allow you to stretch your arms wide open. It is housed in a tiny residential unit that is typical of any Hong Kong apartments. That said, the owners have artfully crafted the two bathrooms and three bedrooms to fit in 20 people. The crowd was great everybody knows everybody, since there's literally nowhere to hide. It is a spatially efficient yet sociable place to get to know Hong Kong. The showers come as a blessing after a long haul and it's literally steps away from the MTR station. Though comparable in size with other "mansion" hostels in the area, you might find it difficult to look for a homier place.

Room Tip: Go for the bottom bunk in the corner of the Blue Room (8-bed dorm). It's tucked right at the edge of two windows you could see the bustling streets below and skyscrapers next to you. You are at 14th floor.
