The Chi Lin Nunnery was built in the traditional Tang Dynasty architecture style entirely out of cypress wood. Located just a short walk away from Diamond Hill MTR station it is a really serene place – well, almost. Unfortunately there are plenty of security guards with anger management issues who are very condescending to visitors.

While it is otherwise certainly not without its charms, it is also definitely not the top sight it is made out to be here.

Such a contrast to the busy city streets, and so peaceful. The Bonsai and river stones are amazing, the temple so serene. Well worth a visit and easy to get to on the Mtr.

Wow wow wow. This place is simply stunning. The grounds, temples, scenery gardening everything about this place is immaculate. The photos really do not do this place justice. All I can say is wow do not leave Hong Kong without coming for a visit it will take your breath away I promise you that.

Quiet and beautiful. Great place for a visit. Doesn't need a lot of time (an hour for both the nunnery and the garden unless you're stopping for food/drinks). And a nice break from the rest of Hong Kong.
