It was so beautiful and relaxing walking around. This is a must see for everyone. There were amazing bonsi trees. I felt so chilled out after my visit. After the noise of the city, this is a place a tranquility.

I visited this place along with the Nan Lian Gardens and the monasteries and covered walkways were some of the most impressive I've seen before.
Everything was very well cared for and woodwork is just beautiful. The landscaping and shrubs are also very well maintained and created the ultimate picturesque setting for photos (although one is prohibited from taking any photos of the Buddha statues.
* There are alot of security officials around the monastery to ensure this.
Pictures can still be taken of the monastery and trees though and when you're inside the perimeter it feels very peaceful and calm.
The weather was nice making for an enjoyable experience as well so try and only go to this place when the weather is nice as the entire area, including Nan Lian gardens, is located outside.
* As it is a place of religious significance, it like the Nan Lian Gardens is free of admission.
When you pass through the Nan Lian Gardens which is right below the nunnery, there is a small place where you can actually get drinks and I believe some food so feel free to stop in there if you are hungry or thirsty.
Enjoy and I highly recommend visiting both the Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Gardens!
This place can be easily accessed via the Diamond Hill MTR. Just get off, go out of Exit C2 (I believe) and look for the red sign that says Nan Lian Gardens. Follow the sign and walk across the road and you'll be there in about five minutes.

The architecture here is incredible, and absolutely worth visiting. The "nunnery" is actually a monastery, I believe, and is still running. A lovely place to wander for a little while, and welcome respite from the busy Hong Kong streets.
