1st visited them last year, they were just a small stall opposite their current location. The desserts are very traditional not too sweet. My favourite is the Rock sugar double-boil with papaya. This trip I visited them 3x. Not to be missed !!!

Service was good. Not pricey. There is always a crowd and mainly locals. I went twice to try different desserts. Well worth the effort.

Love their desserts especially ginger soup with sweet potatoes and tang yuan. I never fail to have them every night each time I visit Hong Kong.

After all the cold wind at the promenade, it's best to eat something hot, and desserts would be even better. We headed to the dessert restaurant in Jordan (佐敦) - 佳佳甜品. This restaurant started with a small run down place and ended up expanding their business to current new twin shop-lots. Prepare to queue as you always need to wait for good food in HK, but the crowd flow was very fast, so u should be able to get a shared table in no time.

I didn't try the popular trio dishes, instead i ordered the Hot Ginger Soup Dumplings (寧波薑汁湯圓) and the Cold Water Chestnut Tofu skin dessert (馬蹄腐竹) which only available during summer. And both of them was good. This was definitely the place to go if you are into Chinese desserts.

When I was there in 2012, they were located opposite the present location. It was very run down and the tables were laid outside the long corridor with a green scaffolding on top just in case if it rains. However in July 2013, when we went again, they have shifted to this present location whcih is just opposite. The shop was spacious and air-conditioned, you won't feel the heat during the summer months.
I especially like the sweet potatoes in ginger soup as the sweet potatoes are really sweet and the ginger soup very hot (it is good to eat it during the cooler months). Feel that this bowl of dessert don't come cheap but guess in Hong Kong this is the price that you paid for an average bowl of dessert.
