1st visit was good enough to make me come back. Fish was fresh, sushi tasty, service good, prices reasonable.

2nd visit the place was packed full, hence service slow and forgetful.

3rd visit was good again.

The value of the sushi and the quality is good, the atmosphere is modern and if not too crowed actually pretty decent.
But this is not the place you’d bring anybody for a business appointment or a date.

I had the most incredible and fresh sushi for a very reasonable price! It will be difficult to forget!

Having stayed in a hotel nearby we had occasions to walk by this restaurant at various hours on numerous days. One night we observed a wait line of at least 50 people while two store fronts next to Sushi One was another Japanese restaurant that was quite empty. Curiosity got the better of us and we decided the next day to find out what was so special about this place. Turns out that after 10:00PM everything is 50% off menu price. Not really the type of person who is willing to wait on line for 45 minutes to be seated we went at 7:30PM and upon seating was told there is a hour and a half limit. One thing I notice about Hong Kong restaurants whether you're a party of four or a party of six they only give one menu to the entire table. Ok, this is a sushi bar and the rest of the items you fill out on the colorful paper order slips, I get it. But there are other items that are more readily recognizable in photos forms on the menu. We were handed a paper menu with a coupon for (HKD) $50 off upon entering. Not knowing we tried ordering from that menu, "sorry, that's our lunch menu only". The food was ok nothing really spectacular nothing with a wow factor. We had ordered something, waited for it and after a while asked where was the order. Only then we were told that the item was not available. Wish someone would have told me...duh. We finished our meal around 9:15PM and I swear the place was nearly empty and yet outside there was a wait line with at least 15-20 people online with the colorful pieces of paper ready to mark down what they want to order at 10:00PM. This is what I don't get, two doors down is another Japanese restaurant. I'm not a marketing expert and maybe there are other factors but every night that restaurant had no lines, no one waiting and the place was always nearly empty. Now if one restaurant could do 50% and do the volume why can't another? A sushi roll is a sushi roll and sashimi, can you go wrong with a piece of sashimi? Have to pick the brain of a marketing expert. Food is average, plain decor, average service, at full price it's still decent but nothing special unless you start standing on line at 9:15PM for 50% discount.
