Best.pizza.ever. I'm a big pizza fan and the Trifola pizza is amazing - gotta try it to believe it. The food is very similar to Isola at IFC, except bigger and better and cheaper (slightly). Not trying to be pretentious with annoyingly small portions. A little bit out of the way, but there's valet parking out front.

When you walk in to the restaurant, first impression is of an old building with minimal decorations, which is very unusual for HK restaurants. The warehouse feel sets a very warm, sincere tone. The food is exceptionally good and authentic. Menu is varied and portions are generous.

The chef (Gianni) walks from table to table and joins in for a toast and discusses food. Excellent Italian wine collection. Gianni certainly knows his food and wine.

A very good find and I will definitely return soon. One of the best for Italian in HK.

The chef certainly knows his stuff, delicious food, and great service. The only negative coments would be the lighting in the restaurant, vicious spotlights, or so dark we had problems reading the menu...it is a bit like being in a factory space, which could easily be rectified. I will go back for the food definitely.

Giando is probably the tastiest and most rewarding yet undiscovered italian restaurant in town.

Pros: Excellent view of the harbour, Tsim Tsa Tsui and Central. If you can book this restaurant on a night when they're doing the Firework displays for Chinese New Year or New Year's then you're in a for a real treat. They have perfect and unrestricted views of the harbour. The food is very yummy. We particularly liked the Sea Urchin pasta. The sauce was rich, creamy and very flavoursome. Whilst the pasta was perfectly chewy and Al Dente. Fantastic! Service was very good. The italian restaurant manager is kind, courteous and attentive. And our server Miss Cheung was excellent and very professional. The Burrata starter was also very creamy and yummy. And I liked the way our pizza came out slightly odd-shaped (ie. not perfectly round) as that shows that our pizza was home made and freshly made and we really liked this nice touch.

Cons: Fenwick pier is hard to find. It's next to the Legislative Council building and Tamar. Theoretically you could walk to Fenwick Pier from Central or Admiralty. Otherwise, they do a nice valet parking system in the evening, where you can park for the whole evening for 60 HKD.

In summary, this is a wonderful, tasty Italian restaurant with a wonderful harbour view. It's just a little hard to find, and thus is probably less well-known compared to other Italian eateries in town. But if you make the effort, you'll find yourself well rewarded. Also, it's near the Wan Chai convention centre which provides lovely scenic harbour views. So if you want to have a romantic walk by the harbour afterwards, it's very possible.

All in all, this is fantastic restaurant. High recommended!

Let's start from the positive things.....the place is nice , they have a car park, nice view!
Less positive things, the service it's inadequate some time they get lost with really easy task no one could tell me if they serve a gluten free pasta, no idea of some basic italian cuisine, no idea of how a plate is done.... staff completely untrained.
NEGATIVE thing's: as an EXEPENSIVE Italian restaurant i would expect at least good food and unfortunately was not!!!!! My pasta SPAGHETTI WITH SEA URCHIN was over cooked and way to oily a friend had someGRILLED SLICED meat he ordered medium rare was served medium well and the staff insisted that was ok like this, one more friend ordered THE FISH SKEWER some fish was over cooked some other under cook, half of the food was left in almost all the plate and no one asked if somethings was wrong....
Can't just be an unfortunate evening!!!
