“cheap and good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

As a single traveler staying in a hotel nearby, I was happy to find this place. Not fancy at all, but clean and menu in English. I've been there probably 10 times over the past 3 months and always had a good meal. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese, this is not it. But it's a refreshing break from the greasy sweet local food. And it seems to be open later than others in the area. Loved the papaya salad with shrimp and the grilled pork neck. Pass on the green curry. You can do "take-away", very handy if you are staying at the Butterfly on Hollywood Hotel next door, as that hotel has no restaurant. It's also just a short walk to the Ibis Hotel.

“Nice surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

We found this restaurant by chance. It doesn't look very interesting from the outside, but the place is clean and the food fresh and tasty. We had papaya salad with shrimps, a vegetable clear soup, soft shell crab and rice paper rolls with vegetables. By mistake we ordered too much food but we couldn't stop eating! Everything was very good and easy to digest, and the food was reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and they speak a good English.

“good service”

I was disappointed of the taste, maybe because I compaired it to US ones. People over there were very friendly, nice and competent!

“Great little find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

We found this place by accident as we had originally booked another place to eat dinner which looked great according to their website but was actually in a food court. We were wondering round and found this place. The service was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Great food so all in all a good find

“Cool hip place for lunch in SoHo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012

We walked around SoHo one almost unbearable hot and humid afternoon, and suddenly found ourselves standing in front of this little Vietnamese restaurant! Of course we went in without any hesitation. Bright, contemporary, with cool refreshing AC, aaahhhh! We ordered fresh coconut juice and a very interesting iced drink made of coconut milk and red bean to quench our thirst. For lunch, we had vermicelli noodle with spring rolls and green papaya salad. We loved the artful presentation of the food as well as the wonderful simple taste. The spring rolls were delicious, light and crunchy!
The place was packed with a fashionable young crowd of expats and locals - typical SoHo residents. We were the only tourists in sweaty shorts and t-shirt, yikes! Spacious dining room but tables and booths were quite close to each other, like in a New York restaurant. We didn’t try the pho soup, but the attractive gay couple next to our table did and we really enjoyed the tantalizing aroma of herb and spice from their steaming bowls of pho. Lunch for two 200HK (about $25US).
