If visiting the Sheung Wan area attractions, you will pass a small city park on Hollywood Road that is well worth a quick visit. This is the former sight of the Possession Point Public Square but it is now known and identified as Hollywood Road Park. It is also the former location of what was called the Tai Tat Tei, which was an night market place in decades long passed, which you can learn about if you are taking the Western Heritage Trail.
The Hollywood Road Park, presently is a small city park of traditional Chinese architecture and garden arrangement, with pavilions, moon door structures and pond with koy fish (and a large white catfish). Buildings are painted in the classic red color with green trim, giving a highly atmospheric setting for the park. The park size is quite small so a visit can be done rather quickly or you can take a seat and linger in this peaceful environment. We enjoy spending a few minutes watching the old-timers playing mahjong, dominos or other card games.
Overall, not a feature park for Hong Kong but one worth checking out if you are planning to visit the Sheung Wan area attractions and are planning to spend some time on Hollywood Road.
