Located at the heart of Causeway Bay with direct access to the MTR station, Hysan Place showcases an enviable selection of nearly 120 most sought-after international brand boutiques spanning over 17 floors. we visited Hysan Place on a sunday evening and enjoyed the space within the mall. it is conveniently located near Causeway Bay MTR. there is an Apple store and bookstore amongst all the other clothing shops plus a supermarket as well. so there is something for everyone.

This recently renovated building boasts a large GAP as well as an Apple store, as well as the usual array of upmarket clothing stores and other shops including Aesop, Body Shop, and Crabtree & Evelyn. There is a well-stocked supermarket in B2, which has a wide choice of spices too. There are restaurants located from the 7 th to 12 th floors, and several coffee bars dotted about the floors.

The shops in general are like any other mall. The bookstore is not that neat but it has lots of counters which sell lots of things you can only find there. The food court is amazing and the restaurants are also great. The bookstore even has a collection from MoMA, Museum of Modern Art, New York. The feel of the mall is very relaxed, but the lifts aren't the best.

Hysan Place is the latest addition to the vertical shopping mall experience in Causeway Bay. It might be because of its recent opening, but this mall was quite crowded on both instances we visited. In fact there were queues to get on the escalators, though not so bad as the crowds moved smoothly and steadily.

The mall offers 4-5 storeys of dining in the upper floors, including a food court which was filled to the brim when we visited. There are pockets of dessert cafes in the lower floors including a yummy yogurt cafe with an outdoor patio overlooking the Sky Garden. We tried the Smile Yoghurt & Dessert shop, which was a real winner.

The Sky Garden is open to the public but not yet fully developed; there are lots of places to sit here, and offers an interesting (though not spectacular) view of old and new buildings in Causeway Bay.

As for shopping, there are still a few empty store spaces in Hysan Place, but most floors are now occupied with retail shops. This includes the very popular Hollister brand which one may need to queue to get in, and an extensive DFS Traveler's Galleria (for cosmetics, perfume, watches and jewelry). The main draw seems to be the three-storey Taiwanese Eslite bookstore which offers a comprehensive selection of books in Chinese, though limited English collection. Note that floor maps were not clearly visible in Eslite except for the small sign near the escalators. Additionally, the bookstore is open for 24 hours from Thur-Sat but we did not find a good size lounging area to hang out for a long period.

Overall Hysan Place is a good addition to the Causeway Bay shopping scene, and has some unique retail offerings which will probably get better as the rest of the store spaces are occupied. It is easily accessible by MTR (Causeway Bay Station EXit) and within 5-10 minutes walking distance to Times Square, SOGO and other shopping malls, plazas and street shops.
