“the perfect start to a day”

Excellent range of top quality pastries, great place to get breakfast. Small menu so it's suitable for light evening meals too.

“The delicious smell of freshly baked bread....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

......will be enough to win you over. Pastries are gorgeous, bread is worth buying to take home, you will come back for more. Great place to enjoy a coffee or quick lunch, sitting peacefully while observing the bustle outside.

“Loved everything... except the pizza...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

The three of us tried their salad, sandwich, quiche, pizza, hot & cold chocolate, coffee, bread, and an assortment of sweets. We loved everything but the pizza. We felt it was a tad too crunch... so it felt like we were eating pizza-chips. However, the sweets and bread are truly top notch, and I loved spending an afternoon there.

“Finally a top bakery in Hong Kong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

Working in Wanchai, I followed with interest the opening of Passion and suspected this was going to be yet another cookie shop in the area. When it finally opened, it was love at first sight.

The bakery is elegant, with mouth watering displays of bread, dessert, sandwiches, quiches and salads. You leave the chaos of wanchai and step into a very cool european ambient. There is a multitude of staff behind the counter so you are always readily attended to by someone. Many are bakers who churn out freshly baked products on a regular basis.

This place is good for lunch, even though there are very few seats inside and most of the time you have to wait. It is a clear measure of success that this place was packed from the first week, and has been busier every day since. I was very proud of this discovery when it opened, and now regret having shared it with my colleagues!

The bread is amazing, from sour dough, to baguettes, to darket ryes and much more. It's not cheap, but it is quality worth paying for. If you're having a dinner party and want to impress, all you need is bread and desserts from Passion and no one will mind what's for mains.

If you are in Wanchai, it's a definite must for a stop over, I just hope you won't make the lunch queue even longer for me ;-)

“From passion to bread”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2012

The bread comes out fresh out of the oven at the restaurant, which is special for most bakeries and is quite rare nowadays, no wonder they called themselves Passion: Their passion for bread. Their bread is very tasty and it is like the bread in France, with the same rich wheat taste and smell. The sour dough bread taste is just right, not too much or too less. Their signature bread, the Passion baguette, is something you can’t buy from any other place, you have to try it for yourself when you come.
