“Brilliant day out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2014

Not quite disneyland but we had a wonderful day out here. We caught the MTR to Admiralty then caught the citybus 629 ($10.60) directly to the Ocean Park entrance. The park is split into two sections, the first has various animal exhibitions including pandas, monkeys and sea horses. There was also a section dedicated to "old time hong kong" that was great for photo exhibitions. There is also an aquarium.

The second part of the park is accessible by cable car (which provides a lovely view) and contains lots of theme park rides and the "arctic" and "antarctic" animal exhibitions. The rides were quite good but queues were long when we were there.

We spent about half the day here and had plenty of time to go on the rides and see the animals. It was a very well kept park with food and drinks stalls. Even though it was busy, the only queues were for attractions when we were there.

If there is time, I would recommend going for a day out,

“Ocean Park Hong Kong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

Fantastic. If Disneyland is 5 star, this one is 10 Star.

Don;t miss this one and plan 1 full day for this.

Tickets - You will get best price from CTS China Travel Services). After an extensive research, i found CTS to be offering best discount all through the year,. CTs has offices all over Hong Kong. There is one right at arrival lounge in Hong Kong Airport, as soon as you come out after custom's clearance. They sell tickets with a validity period and hence we do not have to be stuck to a specific date. The ONLY challenge with CTS is they accept ONLY cash. There are other travel agents with offices and you can buy from them as well, as they accept credit card payment. Buying online or across the counter can never be cheaper than purchasing thru travel agents.

Tips -

Fantastic place and never plan Disney and Ocean park on consecutive days, as both places need a lot of walking and you will get tired. Thus, plan at least a day of gap between the visits to these two facilities.

This is one place that offers all the various amusement options. right from train ride, cable car (pretty long ride covering over 2 mountains), river raft ride, aquarium, musical fountain, polar region animal life, dolphin and sealion spectacular show...............list goes on !!!

Must experience :-

Hair raiser (one of the most scenic and spectacular roller coaster rides (its on the top edge of the mountain, with sea front and has over 4 Kilometer ride).
Raging river
Dolphin show (at Ocean theater. Please check show timings and be there on time)
Bumping cars
Many more.......

Fantastic place.

Travel to site - The best way is to go to Central station and take a bus to Ocean park. On return, they have buses right from ocean park to Central station. Very convenient.

“Hot Ocean Park”

Wish there were more trees and shade to take a breather in the scorching heat. My 8 yr old daughter enjoyed the cable car and train.

“Interesting combination of sea animals and thrill rides”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014 via mobile

This park is relatively good for family with middle age elders. Went with my parents in their 50s. Both educational and quite fun.

The only thing was it was relatively crowded and no way to pretend queue cutters, which then can be a turn off.

Nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves.
