Wife and I went on a Monday afternoon. There was a medium to large crowd. Waited for 1/2 hour plus in the crowd before alighting. Everywhere in. Hong Kong there will be a crowd / a queue especially for places of interest. Be ready to be moshed as you enter as people will be fighting for seats or youll end up standing along the way. But it wont be that bad. The journey up itself is picturesque. Watching the beautiful landscape of Hong Kong as the tram inclines is an experience.

We went to the Peak Tram on our first day in Hong Kong which was a Sunday and it was very busy. We queued for about 40 minutes which was tolerable and the trip up in the tram is certainly a unique experience! Worth paying the extra to go to the top deck at the Peak where the views are breathtaking.
There is ( as everywhere in HK) shopping! But the malls provided a variety of places to eat at a range of prices. We went in November and I would advise taking a cardigan as it can be quite cool and breezy so high up.
A must see in Hong Kong.

The overall trip to the top of the peak would have been a bust, but the peak tram was worth the trip all by itself. It is like riding an extreme version of a San Francisco cable car and takes you back in time. Will definitely do it again!

I was as fun as my kids and definitely a choice to get to Victoria Peak. There's quite a number of people and we make sure we get the best seat to add extra thrill

This ride has very beautiful views of the city and mountains. Went to the peak tram station during a Monday morning around 9am and was surprised that there was no queue! Even when waiting for the tram , there weren't much people around! When the tram have departed, I was seated on the right side of the tram with my family which have the best view of the peak as I read on other reviews previously. The left side's view isn't that good as the one on the right side. On the return journey down around 11.30am the tram was relatively empty! Once I have arrived on the lower terminus, there were long queues and a lot of people including tour groups and locals. My advice is if possible, try to visit the peak during weekdays morning. Heard that weekend queues are really very long. Once again, an excellent journey up the peak.
