“Flea market of kitsch”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Nothing remarkable to see really. A long street full of vendors selling a lot of the same stuff - phone cases, tshirts, mini speakers. Really not much interesting to see but we were there on a Sunday night. Maybe it's different on Friday and Saturday?

“Good, cheap eating”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We ate here several evenings on our stopover in HK to and from UK. We like eating outside and seeing the hustle and bustle of people walking by. The place we preferred was Tong Tai Seafood Restaurant (which does pork, chicken and beef as well). Good food at a cheap price, e.g. $13NZ for a nice main course ($80HK). If you have allergy issues like me, I suggest you type out all what you can't eat. Then what you can eat, asking them to help you select what you can eat. I then translate this on Google into whatever language I needed (this trip into Spanish and Cantonese and hieroglyphics). In the street markets they then advised me to have the steamed fish, steamed bok choi and boiled rice (as everything else cooked with soya bean oil). I wasn't sick afterwards so this worked well for me.
The market stalls are interesting to look at even if you don't buy anything.

“Great Deals”

Must devote separate shopping date for Ladies Market and Temple street.. Almost same stuff being sold... prices vary on your haggling expertise.. The important rule is never stop smilling (^^) while lowering the price...

“Colourful and vibrant”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Night markets are always interesting because they offer products at a bargain, if you know how to spot one. It helps to know the price so you don't get 'cheated'. Buyer beware.

There are singers n fortune tellers to entertain you and offer to tell your fortune or future if you are interested.

Hungry? Various eateries all around. It seems like the people in HK never sleep!
