We had great plans for the day until the heavens opened and I noticed we were close to the Hong Kong Museum of history. Although my daughter of 7 had gone in rather reluctantly she loved it. Beautiful museum, full of fascinating facts and displays.

Nice place and clean. Easy to get there. it is near the Hong Kong Public Library and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It was worth the pay for $10 it has three floors of history in it, historic hong kong, the making of hong kong, current hong kong and other cultures in hong kong.It was great to see lots of colorful designs in the mini city street that they created in the museum. In short Hong Kong's history from ancient times to the present in all the details! Great job

If you in Hong Kong you must see this museum. It's about Hong Kong at the beginning. Nice place and clean. It is also easy to get there. MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Exit B2 walk along cameron road to Chatam Rd South turn to the left you will find the bridge beyond the road. You just walk on the bridge you will find it. After satisfied to look around you can get lunch at Guangdong Roasted Pork at Cameron Road. So yummy and tasty.

We did the Story guided tour in English, which was a whirlwind tour from pre-history to present. Good to have extra time afterwaard to go back and review some of the exhibits and see some of the video presentations. Excellent musem!

Not a great exhibit, not a bad one either. I was born & raised in HK, so I do relate to the history a little better than most foreigners. However, it will give most visitors a sense of how Hong Kong became a British Colony.
