The wait for the ride up was long as there were so many tourists. But it was worth the wait. From up there you can see probably almost the whole of Hong Kong. It was a breathtaking view. The ride up itself is already an experience. It's a must see in Hong Kong.

The Peak Tram taking you up the mountain is great. Super steep track, you feel almost vertical at a couple of points. Perfect tacky little tourist shops await your arrival with plenty of tourist tat to keep you happy. There is a mall on The Peak though if you want to do some other shopping. Make sure you get the dual Tram and Sky Terrace ticket as the view from the Sky Terrace is magic. You get a free audio commentary to give you some interesting information about the city and its history too. Hong Kong is such a huge city and if you only have a little time I would recommend visiting The Peak. Absolutely loved and was awed by the view.

We traveled from Mong Kok to the Peak via train and tram. We got there at 9.30 am on a Saturday morning and only had to wait around 15 mins as we got on the second tram that arrived.

No Skypass just up and back on the tram $40HK for adults.

Great little tram to get you to the top and a fun ride up the huge incline.

Disappointed at the top not because of the view but because we had to fight our way through the shops to get to the view. As we hadn't purchased the Skypass and all signs pointed to the Skypass it wasn't easy to find our way out to the terrace to look at the view.

And yes when we found it there was a lot of haze, so compared to Sydney Tower, Empire State, Top of the Rock, Auckland Sky Tower, and even the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains, the Peak just doesn't rate.

We visited at night so the skyline was amazing. Lots of shops and restaurants on top the only downside is the 45-60 mins queues for the tram going up and back down. But totally worth it!

Nice place to watch HK fireworks. Gives a good view of Victoria Harbour and HK skyline. People will be flocked during that time. You can visit Tussauds wax museum.
