Ladies, go to the toilet before you go to the peak - we saw a queue of 40 women waiting to use THE toilet.
MASSIVE queues for the tired old cable car.
The queue for the bus to get down was close to 200 people (would take 3x buses to clear - and the buses are infrequent).
THIEVING taxi drivers know that it is a $50 fair ‘on the meter’ - but want to charge you $400 and not turn the meter on.
The top of the peak looks like a building site.
Ask the information desk where you can get ‘the best view’ - without buying one of their ‘packages’ and they get grumpy.
I went to the Peak about 10 years ago and it was a far healthier experience.
For such a rich island - it’s a very depressing tourist attraction.

A must do part of any trip to Hong Kong. Had pre-paid for entrance ticket (through Big Bus Tour) and would recommend doing this, as the queue to buy a ticket gets longer than the queue for the train. Great views, but not much else.

Getting there is half the fun! A great ride in the Peak Tram up a steep mountain, and something special! When you arrive the spectacular vista of Victoria Harbour and all of Hong Kong opens to you. Its a great attraction daytime or at night, theres restaurants and snack places so its a great location for lunch or dinner. You shouldn't miss this, it's truly a Hong Kong icon.

Forget tram to go to the PEAK. If you stay in Kowloon....take a Star ferry to Central and turn right and take bus number 15. No lines, cheap and sit on the left side upstairs. It takes around 40 minutes to get to the PEAK and views of HK are spectacular !!! From the bus. Priceless.

Lovely to visit, nice area, everything was great, view amazing, but the only caveat was the lines were crazy for the trams. Suggest take the tram one way and uber or cab back down.

Well worth doing - pre purchase your tickets or join a group to save queuing - week days aren’t as busy as the weekends

Actually the Victoria Peak is one of the biggest tourist spot of Hongkong. if you are there at the wrong time , itwill be very crowded .There areplenty alternatives without tourist, but there is also no train to reach the peak, so you have to walk ;-)

Hongkong by night is incredible. The view over the city is spectacular, important is to bring food and drinks, as up there everything is expensive.

Hong Kong and its skyline are already impressive as such but if you go to the Peak and take a walk (there is a special walking path) then you will actually see how great this place is: landscape, sea, skyline, nature - 360 degree view.
