Mostly a shopping complex on top of a mountain, the experience was rather disappointing: the observation deck was crowded and the view of the city/harbor was obstructed by thick smog. The entrance fee was pricey and so not worth it. The area is too overdeveloped and too commercialized. If you want a more quiet escape from the big city you should walk the various trails around the peak or surrounding country parks - for free!

We had a beautiful clear day, but the tour guide said it was the best he'd seen in two months. Might want to reconsider the time spent if it looks overcast.

We are very glad we went up to see the views this time as it was a lovely day. Hot in the sun but there are air conditioned shops with good facilities near by if you want to use them. It gives you a much better understanding of the layout of Hong Kong than you can ever get from a map. Take note of the head quarters of the HSBC building with the canons on the top. We went up by bus but down by tram and this was better than both ways by tram as got a much better look around on our way up at the homes and surrounding areas on the bus trip.

Visited ‘The Peak’ during December. Queues can be horrendous but you can purchase a priority ticket from one of the vendors outside the venue which lets you jump the queue and gives you 24hr access to the bus tour around Hong Kong and the ferry. Views from the peak are amazing, make sure you choose a day with little fog/mist otherwise your views will be obscured.

What an awesome view and the tram ride getting there was a hair short of incredibly terrifying but the views were spectacular and great for pictures, shopping for souvenirs and just a different type of Hong Kong.

My gf and I got our hands waxed together as a sign of love - check this out, as I have not seen it anywhere before.........it is on the lower level where the souvenirs are located and cost only 50 HK. Pretty unique.
