Starting at the Colonial Ladies Club and taking the Tram to the peak is one of life's must-do's. Worth paying a little extra to go to the upper gallery and view the whole of Central and LKF. Watching the black kites circling overhead makes it all the more impressive.

Make sure to take the tram up to The Peak (it's been in continuous use for over 100 years with no accidents!) and you will be astounded at the view of the harbor, skyscrapers, bridges and boats. Amazing place to visit, you won't be sorry.

For me this is the best place in Hong Kong. It offers amazing views, the tram is an experience by itself, and the buildings at the top add to the overall feeling of a great place.

If you are there on a nice day you should walk up to the Peak. It takes a bit less than an hour from the ferry terminal in Central. If the sky is clear you get a spectacular view of the harbour. Probably the #1 photo spot in HK. Go into the mall (not the one that the tram arrives at) and find the shop that sells photos of HK. There are some marvelous photos of old HK that are reasonably priced and they will mail them for you if you don't want to carry them around all day. I don't remember the name of the store.

Very crowded, best to avoid going on a week day. Be ready to stand in the queue for about 30 minutes. Can use the Octopus card for payment instead of cash.
