Yes this is a must do attraction, but look further afield. There are several walks to be had at the top and one on Lugard road takes about an hour and gives good views at several part of HK island. Very busy after dark as everyone wants to take night time pictures.

Upon arriving in Hong Kong, a friend suggested that I visit "The Peak" at night; he said the view of the harbour is absolutely spectacular. My friend was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! If you're visiting Hong Kong, you ABSOLUTELY MUST make your way up to The Peak!

Now, be advised! If you go in the evening or on the weekend, the crowds will be large and the line quite long for the tram ride down, but do NOT let this deter you. I took one of the public buses up to the peak. Upon arriving, I realized that there's an entire mall and shopping area up there. So, you can actually make an entire evening of the experience...possibly go up late in the afternoon and do some shopping. Then just after night fall, snap some pics of the amazing Victoria Harbour. And, finally, grab a bite to eat before returning to the city.

The view is absolutely amazing - really topok my breath away. We queued at 6pm and the queue was huge - it was much shorter later in the evening. This allowed us to see the view at night time, which is amazing. You can pay to get a photo taken, and although it's very expensive, it's the best photo from our holiday.

We were really looking forward to going to The Peak and getting a great view however there was too much pollution in Hong Kong to even see the closest buildings. The tram was good and we ad a lovely meal at Bubba Gump Shrimp but if you're going for the view don't bother.
