Pleasantly surprised at this hidden oasis in downtown Hong Kong. Nice to find some "green" in amongst the concrete jungle that HKG is.

park was not that big but nice anyway. There should be more benches for people to rest and relax and larger place for picnic areas.

get (slightly) away from the hustle by watching the turtles, fish and birds in Hong Kong park... worth it for a quick escape and relaxation time.

This is a wonderful park - a little oasis in the center of Hong Kong. I spent some time there before taking a Tea Appreciation class at the Lock Cha Tea House located in the park. However, make sure you wear bug spray. I got bitten to death by some tiny flying bugs. I saw them landing on me and just brushed them away (I didn't realize I was getting bitten), but a day later my arms started getting itchy, sore bumps all over them. I had a really hard time trying to sooth the itching, and it took a couple of weeks for the bumps to disappear totally

Going in March to Hong Kong is not the best time to see it at its best. We visited the lovely, if not difficult to find, Hong Kong park. Bizzarely the entrance to the park is through a shopping centre (??) as is everything you visit in HK. It did rain hard whilst there but the gardens, waterfalls (or was it rain), lakes, statues, exotic (and named) trees, landscapped areas were beautiful and can imagine when the sun finally came out, it was a wonderful place to walk through. There is a large aviary but the birds were hiding from the rain too. The tall modern buildings that formed a backdrop to the lovely park made for some striking photos.
