After a long thought, I booked for this hotel after going through several reviews in tripadvisor. I'd never booked a hotel online and hence Iwas bit tensed as I am taking my family for this trip. But the hotel was marvellous. Though their check-in time was 3pm, they was kind enough to give me the room much before, as it was ready. We all liked the people, ambiance, cleanliness. I would love to stay in this hotel again, when I visit HK again.

Hi ,

I recently stayed in the Royal Plaza with 6 girlfriends. The room are modern and spacious.
The staff in the club loge and on the front desk were pleasant and helpful.

I would recommend it to anyone as its location for shopping is great and the facilities are fabulous

We stayed here for 6 nights with our teenage son. The hotel is very modern, clean and newly renovated. Our room on the 13 th floor was spacious with 2 very comfortable double beds and nice pillows. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The pool, gym and health club is fantastic- underwater music in the pool, showers, sauna, steam room all new. Bottled water provided daily. The shopping mall is still undergoing renovations but there are plenty of shops and restraunts opened for business. The Peking garden and the grey hound are both excellent. The hotel buffet breakfast is very good.

The hotel is situated in Kowloon not on main HK island. However it is only a short walk from two subway stations and bus routes. The hotel has excellent facilities for everyone. It also has a shopping mall on its doorstep. The Swimming Pool and Health Club are also very good facilities. It has two restaurants to choose from and the breakfast choice is superb. It also has a very relaxing bar open until 2am! We had a room which also incorporated the hotels Club facilities which were excellent. Our room was large apparently by HK standards and the bathroom facilities excellent. The daily room service was always very good - we spent two weeks here and enjoyed HK and this hotel.
The staff were kind professional and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: The rooms with Club facilities excellent.

My family group of 16 checked in on Monday taking 4 rooms at 17th floor and will be checking out this Saturday. So far we're very happy with the newly renovated rooms which is spacious enough for 2 adults+2 boys+1 baby to stay quite comfortably with all amenities working well and the 4 USB ports for charging our telco equipment are very useful. As for the much talked about shower room blinds, it's probably be more ideal for couples. We've got mothers in our group warning their sons not to peep while they use the toilet. The staff, in particular, are very friendly and helpful.

Location wise, it's just beside a shopping mall which is currently under renovation. So do expect many shop units being boarded up but there's still enough shops to serve your basic needs. There's even a Singapore-style food court with a Toast Box outlet and an MTR station is just beside the hotel. Nathan Road is just about 10-15 min walk along the main road and there's a covered foot bridge that leads all the way to Mong Kok MTR station.

Overall, this is a good choice hotel at very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great room for couple or family. Clean bath room and well lighted room. Reception staff is helpful and friendly. I checked in around 3pm which is peak hour for check in. But the staff still very attentive and friendly serving all guests with patient. Very professional staff! In short, great hotel to stay and near all night market place!

The hotel was undergo renovations which didn't really effect us in anyway.
The entrance was through a joint entrance lobby to a mall which the hotel was right next to.

A cab from the airport (red cab to Kowloon) was $255 HKD which we expected.
Concierge and hotel reception staff were kind, welcoming and helpful.
Hotel lobby looks fabulous and grand.

The room was very very nice, better than we expected and bathroom was spacious and well stocked with commodities.
There is free wifi during the stay and the connection was good so we could easily use Tango/Skype/Viber to call family at home.

The hotel was in a great location, very near to a MTR station and taxis were always arranged by conierge who translated where we needed to go if there was a need for it, but most taxi drivers speak enough English to understand where you want to go.
The hotel isn't far from the Ladies Market which is great for tourists who want souvineers or little gifts, we also went to Temple street market which is the same but a little bit further down.

The taxi has a free shuttle bus which drops you off to downtown Kowloon where you are surrounded by deisgner shops and malls and other little local shops. it is a 2min walk across the stree to the Synphony of Lights which is definitely a must see!
The bus then picks you up and takes you back to the hotel.
there are planned times from drop off and pick up and make sure you let the concierge know in advance so he can book you on to the bus. we went in November and when we used to bus it was mostly empty so we didn't worry about not fitting on to a trip.

the breakfast was lovely and the chefs and staff were very accomodating.
We asked one chef for baked beans which he brought over to the table, and then everyday after he continued to have beans brought to our table which was very sweet and considerate!

The only negative was that we had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready, but we had coffee and cake in the meantime. There is a coffee concesion in the lobby, coffee/tea etc is around $30 each, cakes are a bit more expensive.

All in all our stay was wonderful and I would recommend to hotel to any future travellers considering it. The location is good and the service is wonderful.
