“Well located friendly hotel”

Excellent centrally located hotel close to China Ferry Terminal. Breakfast served in cafe which was above average. Concieage very helpful. Overall a good experience although on the rate we were paying a little expensive. Rooms excellent. Paid for a harbour view which we appreciated.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights last months (31 October - 5 November 2010).
The location is great for us as a family with very young child (2 year old).
Some MTR stations (Kowloon, Austin and Tsim Sha Tsui), shopping center (Harbour City), food court places and Star Ferry terminal are nearby.

I booked online for 'Kidz Breaks Magic' accommodation package.
I chose this package because it came with complimentary breakfast, a complimentary ticket for Hong Kong Disneyland plus a welcome gift.
At the time I checked in, this hotel upgraded my room to a bigger room.
It was so nice, I got a room with 3 single beds. Although the decoration was outdated, we enjoyed our room very much during that time.
The room is also quite and away from noise, so we had a good sleep.
The bathroom was lovely and they cleaned everyday. Daily bottled water was provided as well.

Check out and check in were smooth and efficient. The staff were very helpful and some of them can speak in English fluently.

The breakfast was also good. There were many choices from Chinese, Japanese, Western and local food (such as dim sum). They also provided various kinds of fruit and bread/pastries.

We stayed two weeks in Hong Kong where we once lived to visit friends and shop. Previously we had stayed at the New World (Renaissance) in Kowloon but alas it's being torn down to build some 70 story hotel. From searching the web on bookingbuddy.com the best deal we found was at the Royal Pacific because with the "Premier" room you got wifi and access to the executive club. It is not as convenient as the New World. It is midway between the Austin station of the West Rail, and the TST MTR, which you reach via about a ten minute walk across Kowloon Park. We had to allow about 15-20 minutes to get to a subway train, slightly less for rail.

When we arrived we were taken to a room in the hotel where with our three suitcases we couldn't comfortably move around. The room was clean and adequate, but there was no drawer space, no wash cloths. It was clear to us we could not survive two weeks in these conditions. Based on this we would only recommend the hotel rooms for one person, or a one night stay while catching a ferry to China.

We asked for and got an upgraded room in the tower for an additional US$25 per night. We felt we had no choice if our trip was to be comfortable. And overall we were pleased with the result. The room was clean and spacious with a partial harbor view. There were drawers, wash clothes and other amenities including a separate shower and bath. The Executive Club provided us with breakfast (very good but a bit tiresome over a two week period), afternoon tea, and cocktails (with appetizers which one could substitute for a light dinner). We got better service, no waiting in line for check out, etc.

If there were any downsides, it was that the weather was unseasonably warm and despite our efforts we could not get the a/c to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. Also the wifi was free but a bit unstable, and I had to relog sometimes.

So we would stay at this hotel again, but only in the tower.

Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, took a cab to get to the hotel cuz it's difficult to walk to the hotel with a luggage. Hotel is a little old, but everything else is pretty good. Located above the China Ferry Terminal if you're planning a trip to Macau, which was what we did.

I first visited this hotel one year ago, today i am a regular client. I visit Hong Kong once a month for business purposes and i always stay at that hotel. It is not just the ideal location, the staff is always ready to help in every possible way, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the price is excellent for the city's standards. I recommend it to anyone.

I was there for 6 nights. Their service is prompt, polite and excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best deal is the premier plus rooms. They may cost slightly more but it is worth the extra. The bathrooms and bedrooms are all updated. If you order the premier room, only the bedroom is updated.
The room we checked in have something spilled on the carpet and created a smell. They gave us 4 other rooms to chose from for an exchange. The room manager and the floor manager both came. It is really impressive.
It is also well located - 3 blocks to MTR and major shopping. There is a food court with abundance of restaurants right below the hotel. Very inexpensive and good. Right next to Macau ferry terminal.

After reading some reviews we wondered if we’d done the right thing by booking at the Royal Pacific. Our worries were soon soothed. The breakfast in their restaurant was brilliant. Loads of choice.
Check out was welcoming, obliging, smooth and efficient and we were offered a room immediately even though we arrived earlier than 2pm normal check in time.
We had a Premier room on the 18th floor that overlooked Kowloon Park, which is beautiful at any time of year. Sure it was smaller than we expected but there were heaps of mirrors which enhanced the natural lighting of which there was a lot, and helped counteract the room size. The bathroom was lovely and stocked with goodies of lovely quality. Daily bottled water was provided and very welcome. Fresh fruit was provided daily, plus a plate and utensils to eat it with.
Room service was great. If we had to request anything, it arrived on the next elevator. Towards the end of our stay the housekeeper called by to see if we’d been looked after as she’d expected. We’ve never struck this in other hotels and we thought it a nice touch.
Just a couple of niggles. There was only one power socket, which wasn’t in the bathroom. It meant there was nowhere to plug a razor or hair appliances into. We understand there is refurbishment going on, so hopefully this issue will be addressed. Also there was nowhere to put clothing, so were forced to live out of our suitcase. The bed was very firm but we understand that is normal in HK. The room was quiet away from noise, so we did get good sleep.
Other than that, the location was great. It’s handy to most things down by the harbour. Do enjoy Kowloon Park. Just walk through it then you’re back on Nathan Road – mega shopping, restaurants. The mall next door is brilliant. We would stay there again and based on our experience, happy to recommend. Don't forget to visit Ocean Park, Stanley market and ride around on the Ding ding Tram. Just load your Octopus card and go.
