“good location, excellent club lounge”
Reviewed September 6, 2011

During a 2 day stop-over before going to Koh Samui with my two daughters of 15 and 17 years old I choosed the Royal Garden for 4 reasons : location, newly renovated, nice club lounge with real champagne !!, very good price/quality (I needed 2 rooms)

Rooms are not super sized but beds are good and the renovation is very cosy. I like the impressive atrium and the extensive buffet breakfast.

There are some rules for utilizing rooftop pool (for example no taking photographs when other people are in the pool!!!! :-) ) The entrance to the roof is via an old staircase, I guess renovation is still going on there.

Overall I like the hotel, 5 minutes walk from avenue of the stars and 15 minutes to star ferry.

And the club lounge.... nice dinner buffet and real champagne !!!!!

Up to Hong Kong from Melbourne on a 'desperate housewives' getaway. 10 minute walk to Nathan road along Mody road. The hotel is under renovation but you would never know it. After prompt email conversation with Daniel, we were offered a renovated suite for 3 and club privileges - well worth the extra cost as it included full breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails. Excellent standard of food at breakfast, the afternoon tea and the evening canapes; wine of equal quality. Wonderful service from Tony and Arthur in the Club Lounge, beautiful room - very comfortable and roomy (which is not always the case in many Asian hotels). Had a fun evening in the Martini Bar listening to sweet Megan and her offsider Murphy. Also check out the pool - located on the rooftop - great view.
Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Had a newly refurbished room which was very nice. Good location with less than 5 minute walk to the underground rail which will connect you to central in 5 minutes. Many restaurants from all around the world within walking distance. Bar along the water front are lively on the week nights.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights whilst on our honeymoon in Asia. I do not think that we could have asked for more. We had upgraded to the club class and I must admit the extra cost was more that made up for the extras that you get included.

We had a nice room with a view of the harbour and the room as a decent size for a major city and the bathroom was very clean indeed.

The breakfast was excellent with a great choice rather than just your "american" or "continental" style and if you wanted anything different such as scrambled eggs then the staff were more than happy to please.

In the evenings we took advantage of the free bar and canapes. Again the staff were excellent, very friendly and got to know the drinks you liked and so always knew what to give you and when to give you a new one without your need to keep asking.

The hotel is in a great location in Kowloon, with only a few minutes to the nearest MTR or 15 mins to the Ferry Terminal (walk along the avenue of the stars - more picturesque and quicker than the roads)

I would have no hesitation of staying again at this hotel

The only negative I had with this hotel was that there is not a complimentary Free Wi-fi - instead as with other hotels they are charging fortunes to get wi-fi. It really should be free , especially when you upgrade to Club Class!!

This hotel is 5 mins walk from nearest MTR station and 10/15 mins from Nathon Road so everything is in easy reach. We had 2 adjoining rooms on the Club floor, which we would highly recommend, the extra cost is well worth it. The staff are extremely courtious and attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast buffet is very good, with sandwitches and cakes etc served in the afternoon, followed by canapes and other nibbles with cocktails later on, you could have anything to drink really and this was well worth it before heading out into Hong Kong for dinner, if you still had room !!
There was some upgrading work in progress but we barely noticed, it was so well managed.
The gym is one of the better hotel gyms I have used with all the standard stuff, treadmills, crosstrainers, weights free and resistance etc. The pool on the roof has amazing views across the skyline. Which is all free with Club rooms.
All in all this was a very good hotel, well placed and good value for money and I would recommend it to both couples and families. We loved it !!

Room Tip: Pay that bit extra and go Club !!

This hotel caters to business & leisure travelers. My room was clean, new, and smoke free. I was very happy with comfort level of the bed and my sleep was fantastic. The bathroom was clean and I was happy with robes in the room for after a shower. The club level has food and drinks, which was perfect after a 15 hour flight. The hotel staff were very helpful in answering any questions I had. They took care of business documents for me in a timely manner and I was happy with their level of service. I didn't have time to use the gym, spa, or pool. I did take a tour of all of them and they were nice and up to date. The pool looked amazing and tranquil. I wish I had had more time to enjoy it. Over all I am happy with the quality and level of service from this hotel. They made my stay in Hong Kong an enjoyable one.

Room Tip: Try and stay on the club level.

Well, we stayed 2 nights and the sole purpose of the trip was to give my wife shopping time in Hong Kong...The hotel was awsome. We took the standard room and it was the exact room the hotel shows in its website...It was really of a good size by hong kong standards...Some renovation was going on and it hardly shows...you cannot make out the difference between house keeping and the renovation workers....Location...10 to 12 mins walk from the Avenue of Stars, the prime shopping locale....The roof top swimming pool was the icing...also, there is a jacuzzi with hot water near the pool that feels so relaxing.make sure to try it out.....stafff is courtious....ONE MAJOR TIP, BOOK THE BREAKFAST INCLUDED ROOM.....Once you stay at the property, you would nt want to stay elsewhere.....Bathroom has all BVALGARI Toiliteries.....

Room Tip: Book a breakfast included room, breakfast is HKD 240 per person and on some days you just dont feel...
